Yhannie’s POV
“Hey, President! There’s a new transferee!”
“Did you hear? They say she’s really pretty!”
I could hear the chatter as I walked into the Student Council room. As usual, the hallway was noisy. I’m not the type to dive into gossip, but somehow, the name they mentioned earlier… sounded familiar.
Bianca.
I was already seated when Kim, one of the officers, approached me.
“Pres, that’s the transferee I was telling you about! The one with the white headband, see? Did you notice her?”
I glanced briefly out the window. She was in the garden—quiet, holding a book, smiling while talking to Ma’am Reyes. She was indeed pretty. Neat. She had this aura of kindness, but like she was hiding something.
I simply raised my eyebrow. “And so?”
“Well, maybe you’d like to welcome her. We’re the Student Council, right?”
“You do it. I’m not in the mood to pretend.”
---
That afternoon when I got home, I messaged Nico.
> “Bianca Cruz. Is she your ex?”
It took him a few minutes to reply.
“Yhannie… pls don’t.”
I froze. So it was confirmed.
I didn’t know why I suddenly became so interested. Nico’s my best friend—one of the few people who made things easier for me. And I’d seen him, for months, barely eating, crying on calls. And now I know… it was because of her. Bianca.
What’s with that girl?
---
The next day, I approached her in the hallway.
“Bianca, right?”
She was startled, almost dropping the notebook she was holding. “Ah… yes?”
“I’m Yhannie. SSC President.” I reached out my hand. Formal. Calm. As always.
She stared at me for a second before smiling.
Her smile was beautiful.
“Nice to meet you, ma’am.”
Ma’am.
I nodded, trying hard not to laugh.
“Can I talk to you sometime? Nothing serious, I just want to get to know you. As a student.”
Her classmates were staring, all clearly surprised.
“Ah… sure, ma’am.”
---
As I walked away, I overheard one of our officers whispering.
“Pres? Actually talking to someone? And being nice?”
I ignored them. But deep inside…
What’s with you, Bianca?
And why do I want to know what Nico saw in you?
