BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO

I avoided Nash every chance I had. I still had to deal with Jace, Carson, and Bryson. All I wanted to do was wallow in my self-pity and nurse my broken heart. I wanted Nash, but that wouldn’t happen.
Someone knocked on my door. “Hey, Maggie.”
“Hey, Jace.”
“Are you okay?”
“I’m okay.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yep, I have to get back to my homework.”
“Oh, right.” He turned and left.
That continued most of the evening, with different people checking on me. It got so much that I lashed out at my brother.
