# Chapter 15 ## Part 1 - Home Is You **Genre:** Werewolf / Mafia Romance --- ### 1. THE RETURN The gates opened at sunset. I was waiting. Like I had been waiting for 48 hours. The black car rolled up the driveway. Slow. And when the door opened, my heart stopped. Luca. He looked tired. There was blood on his cuff. A cut on his jaw. But his eyes... his eyes found mine instantly. And everything in him softened. "Aria," he breathed. I ran. He caught me. Spun me around. Held me like he was afraid I'd vanish if he let go. "I came back," he whispered into my hair. "I told you I would." "I know," I cried. "But I was scared." "Never again," he promised. "Never again will I leave you for that long." He set me down but didn't let go. His hands framed my face. His thumb brushed my cheek. "Did you eat? Did you sleep? Are you okay?" "I'm okay now," I whispered. "Because you're here." Something in his face broke. "God, I missed you." "Show me," I said. And he did. Right there in the driveway. In front of the pack. He kissed me like I was the only thing that mattered. Because I was. ### 2. THE QUIET That night was different. No rush. No desperation. Just quiet. Just peace. He bathed first. Washed the blood off. Came to bed in just sweatpants. Hair still damp. "Come here," he said. Held out his arms. I crawled into them. Fitted perfectly. Like I was made for him. "Tell me about your days," he murmured. "What did you do?" "Missed you," I said. "Cooked. Read. Waited." He kissed the top of my head. "I'm sorry." "Don't be," I said. "You came back. That's all that matters." We lay there in silence. His heart under my ear. Steady. Strong. Mine. "Can I tell you something?" he asked after a while. "Always." "I killed three men today," he said. Quiet. Honest. "They threatened the pack. Threatened you." I didn't flinch. "Are you okay?" He paused. "I am. Because I knew I was coming home to you." He turned me in his arms so I was facing him. "Aria, this life is dark. It's blood and war and monsters. But you... you are my light." Tears slipped down my cheeks. "Luca." "Don't cry," he whispered. Wiped them away. "I don't deserve you. But I'm selfish. I want you anyway." "You have me," I said. "All of me." ### 3. THE MORNING AFTER I woke up to the smell of coffee and him. He was already dressed. Black shirt. Black pants. But he wasn't working. He was watching me. "Morning," I mumbled. "Morning, beautiful," he said. Came and sat on the edge of the bed. "Sleep well?" "With you? Always." He leaned down and kissed me. Slow. Sweet. "Come on. I made breakfast." "You?" "Me," he grinned. "Don't sound so surprised. I told you I'm learning." In the kitchen, he had made pancakes. Burned. And eggs. Also burned. I laughed. "This is terrible." "I know," he said. And pulled me into his arms. "But I made it for you." "Then it's perfect," I said. And kissed him. We didn't eat the food. We made our own breakfast instead. ### 4. THE GARDEN AGAIN After, he took my hand. "Come." The garden. Our garden. White roses everywhere. He sat on the bench and pulled me onto his lap. "Can I ask you something?" he said. "Anything." "Do you regret it?" His voice was low. "Regret me? Regret this life?" I turned to face him. "Luca Blackthorn. I gave up a mafia empire for you. I walked through fire for you. I love you more than my own life." "That's not an answer," he teased, but his eyes were serious. "No," I said. "I don't regret you. Not for one second. Not ever." Relief flooded his face. "Good. Because I don't regret you either. Even when you're stubborn. Even when you drive me crazy." "Especially then," I smiled. "Especially then," he agreed. And kissed me. Right there, surrounded by roses, he told me stories. About his mother. About being young. About the first time he ever felt lonely. And I listened. To every word. Because he was letting me in. And that was the greatest gift he could give. ### 5. THE STORM That evening, a storm rolled in. Thunder. Lightning. The whole estate shook. I was scared of storms as a kid. Luca noticed. "Hey," he said. Pulled me close. "I'm here. Nothing can hurt you." "Promise?" I whispered. "Promise," he said. "On my life." The lights went out. Darkness. Except for lightning. He didn't hesitate. Lifted me and carried me to the bed. Wrapped himself around me. "Talk to me," he said. "Distract me." "About what?" "Anything. Tell me about when you were little." So I did. I told him about my father. About being lonely. About dreaming of someone who would choose me. "I choose you," he said when I finished. "Every day. I choose you." The storm raged outside. But inside, we were safe. He held me until I fell asleep. And when I woke up, the sun was out. And he was still holding me. ### 6. THE LETTER Two days later, I found a letter on my pillow. His handwriting. Messy. Perfect. *To my Luna,* *I don't say it enough. I love you. I love the way you fight me. I love the way you heal me. I love the way you look at me like I'm not a monster.* *I killed people before I met you. I would kill for you now. But more than that - I would live for you.* *You made me want to be better. You made me want to be home.* *Home is you, Aria. Always you.* *- L* I cried. When he came home that night, I was waiting with the letter. "You meant this?" I asked. He nodded. "Every word." I jumped into his arms. "I love you too. So much it hurts." "I know," he said. "It hurts me too. In the best way." ### 7. THE PROMISE KEPT That night, he didn't touch me. Not like that. He just held me. "Can we just... be?" he asked. "Yes," I whispered. "Just be." And we did. For hours. Talking. Laughing. Being quiet. At one point he said, "This is my favorite part." "What?" "This," he said. "You. Breathing. Alive. Mine." "I'm yours," I said. "Always." "And I'm yours," he answered. "Broken pieces and all." We fell asleep like that. Entangled. Safe. Home. --- In the morning, he was gone again. But this time there was no fear. Because on the mirror, in lipstick, he had written: *Back by dinner. Don't miss me too much. - Your Alpha* I smiled. Because home wasn't a place anymore. Home was him. And he always came home. # Chapter 15 ## Part 2 - The Devil's Obsession The house was too quiet. Luca was gone all day. Council meetings. Pack business. And I was going crazy without him. By the time I heard the car, it was past midnight. The door opened. And there he was. Tie loose. Shirt unbuttoned at the collar. Eyes dark. Tired. And furious. "Aria," he said. My name on his lips like a warning. Like a prayer. "You're late," I whispered. "I know," he said. Closed the door. Locked it. "And I'm sorry." He crossed the room in two steps. Didn't touch me. Just looked. Like he was starving and I was the only thing on the menu. "Long day?" I asked. "The longest," he growled. "Because you weren't there." ### 1. THE HUNGER He backed me against the wall. Hands on either side of my head. Not touching. Yet. "Do you know what I thought about all day?" he asked. Voice low. Dangerous. "What?" "This," he said. And finally touched me. Fingers in my hair. Pulling just enough to make me gasp. "Thinking about you. In my bed. Under me. Saying my name." My breath caught. "Luca..." "Say it again," he demanded. "Luca." "Again." "Luca." He groaned. Like I was killing him. "God, I have an obsession with you. It's a problem." "Then be a problem," I whispered. And kissed him. ### 2. THE CLAIM He kissed me like he was drowning. Like I was air. Hands everywhere. Rough. Possessive. Tearing my clothes off like he couldn't wait another second. "You're mine," he growled against my neck. "Say it." "I'm yours." "Louder." "I'm YOURS, Luca!" "Good girl," he breathed. And it broke me. He carried me to the bedroom. Didn't bother with lights. Didn't bother with words. He just took me. Slow at first. Then desperate. Like he needed to remind himself I was real. Like he needed to brand me as his. "Look at me," he commanded. I did. Got lost in gold. "I've been thinking about this all day," he admitted. "About your skin. About your taste. About the way you say my name when you fall apart." "Luca, please--" "Please what?" He was teasing now. Even in this. "Use your words, wife." "You," I gasped. "I need you." "You have me," he promised. "All of me. Every dark piece. Every broken part. All yours." And then he showed me. ### 3. THE AFTER After, we were a mess. Tangling in sheets. Breathing hard. His heart pounding against mine. He didn't let go. Pulled me on top of him and just held me. "You're beautiful," he whispered. Tracing my back. "Do you know that? Even when you're angry. Even when you're crying. Even like this. You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." I rested my head on his chest. "You say that a lot." "Because it's true," he said. "Every damn day." His hand came up and tucked hair behind my ear. "You okay?" "Better than okay," I whispered. "With you." "Good," he said. "Because I'm not done with you yet." He rolled us over. Again. ### 4. THE DEVIL'S WHISPERS This time it was slow. Torturously slow. His lips on my neck. My collarbone. Whispering things that made me burn. "You're mine," he murmured. "Every inch of you. This skin. These lips. This heart." "Luca..." "Shh," he soothed. "Let me love you. Let me show you how much I need you." He moved like he had forever. Like the world could wait. And when we came apart, it was together. Names on each other's lips. Hands holding on like we were afraid to let go. After, he tucked me against him. Blanket over both of us. "Stay," he said. Not a command. A plea. "Always," I answered. ### 5. DAWN I woke up to him watching me. Again. "Stop staring," I mumbled. "Can't," he said. "You're too pretty when you're sleepy." He leaned down and kissed me. Soft. Sweet. Nothing like last night. Everything like home. "Morning," he said. "Morning, Alpha," I teased. His eyes darkened. "Don't call me that. Not in this bed. Here, I'm just your husband." "My husband," I smiled. "I like that." "Good," he said. "Because you're stuck with me now." He pulled me closer. "Forever?" "Forever," I promised. And outside, the sun rose on the Blackthorn estate. And for the first time in his life, the Devil was at peace. Because he had me. And he was never letting go. # Chapter 15 ## Part 4 - The Devil's Vow The world could wait. For the next 72 hours, there was only us. ### 1. THE ESCAPE "Pack your bag," Luca said. It was 2 AM. He stood in our bedroom doorway in all black. Jaw tight. Eyes tired. But looking at me like I was the only thing keeping him sane. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Away," he answered. "Just for 3 days. No Council. No pack. No blood. Just you and me." I didn't ask questions. I grabbed a bag and followed him. The car ride was silent. His hand never left mine. When we pulled up to a private jet, I finally spoke. "Luca... where?" He turned to me. "Somewhere no one can find us. Somewhere I can breathe. With you." The flight was 4 hours. He didn't sleep. He just watched me. Like he was afraid I'd disappear if he blinked. When we landed, the air smelled like salt and pine. "Where are we?" I whispered. "Home," he said. "For now." ### 2. THE CABIN It was a cabin. Right on the edge of a cliff. Ocean below. Stars above. No neighbors. No cameras. No guards. Just wood. Fire. And him. He dropped our bags and pulled me to him instantly. "Three days," he murmured into my hair. "Three days where you're not Luna. And I'm not Alpha. We're just us." "Okay," I whispered. He kissed me. Not like before. Not desperate. Not angry. Soft. Like he was memorizing me. "I need you," he admitted. "God, Aria. I need you so much it scares me." "Then have me," I said. "All of me." ### 3. THE FIRST NIGHT We didn't make it past the living room. The fire was still cold. But we weren't. He pushed me against the wall. Hands in my hair. Mouth on mine like he'd been starving for weeks. "Tell me," he growled. "Tell me you want this." "I want this," I gasped. "I want you. Only you." "Say my name," he demanded. "Luca." "Louder." "Luca!" He groaned and picked me up. Carried me to the bedroom without breaking the kiss. That night wasn't fast. It wasn't rough. It was slow. Deep. Like he was trying to brand himself into my soul. "Look at me," he whispered in the dark. "I need to see you." I did. Gold eyes, completely focused on me. "I love you," he said. "I know I don't say it enough. But I do. More than my own life." Tears slipped down my cheeks. "I love you too." "Then stay with me," he begged. "Stay, even when this gets hard." "Always," I promised. ### 4. MORNING BY THE OCEAN I woke up to him already awake. Watching me. "Morning," he said. Voice rough. "Morning," I smiled. "What time is it?" "Doesn't matter," he said. Pulled me closer. "Time doesn't exist here." He made coffee. Burned the toast. And fed me breakfast in bed like I was royalty. "How do you feel?" he asked. "Safe," I answered honestly. "For the first time in months. Safe." He nodded. "Good. Because that's all I want for you." After breakfast we walked to the cliff. The ocean was crashing below. Wind in our hair. He stood behind me. Arms around me. "Do you regret it?" he asked suddenly. "Regret what?" "Me. This life. All of it." I turned in his arms. "Luca Blackthorn. I walked away from my own family for you. I faced monsters for you. I would do it all again." He exhaled. Like he'd been holding his breath. "Good. Because I don't regret you. Not for one second." He kissed me then. With the ocean as our witness. ### 5. THE STORM On the second night, it stormed. Thunder. Lightning. The whole cabin shook. I hate storms. Luca noticed immediately. He didn't say anything. Just pulled me into his lap on the couch. Blanket over both of us. "I'm here," he whispered. "Nothing can hurt you." "Promise?" I asked quietly. "On everything I am," he said. "Promise." We talked for hours. He told me about being a kid. About his mom. About the first time he killed someone. I told him about being lonely. About wanting someone to choose me. "I choose you," he said when I finished. "Every damn day. I choose you." The storm raged outside. But inside, we were warm. ### 6. THE VOW On the last night, he took me outside. Blankets on the deck. Stars everywhere. No moon. Just us and the universe. "Can I tell you something?" he asked. "Anything." "I wasn't supposed to feel this," he admitted. "Alphas aren't supposed to love like this. It's a weakness." He looked at me. "But you... you made me weak. And I don't want to be strong anymore. Not if being strong means losing you." My heart broke. "Luca..." He took my hands. "So I'm making a vow. Right now. To you. To us." He got down on one knee. Not to propose. We were already married. But to promise. "I vow to protect you," he said. "With my life. I vow to choose you. Every day. I vow to come home to you. Always." "I vow to love you," I whispered. "In war and in peace. In blood and in light. Forever." He stood and pulled me to him. And kissed me under the stars. It felt like a wedding all over again. ### 7. GOING BACK Morning came too fast. We had to go back. The world was waiting. The war was waiting. In the car to the airport, he held my hand the entire time. Didn't let go. When we landed back at the estate, everything was the same. But we weren't. Before we got out, he turned to me. "Whatever happens next," he said. "We do it together. You hear me? Together." I nodded. "Together." He leaned over and kissed me. Soft. Sweet. A promise. "Let's go home, wife," he said. And for the first time, home didn't feel like a place. Home felt like him. **[END OF CHAPTER 15 - PART 4]**
