# Chapter 14
## Part 1
Morning came too fast.
I woke up in his arms. In his bed. In his world.
Mrs. Blackthorn. The title still felt strange on my tongue.
Luca was already awake. Watching me.
Like he couldn't believe I was real.
"Morning, Luna," he said. Brushed hair from my face.
"Morning, Alpha," I teased.
His eyes darkened. "Don't call me that. Not in this bed."
He pulled me closer. "Here, I'm just Luca. Your husband."
My heart melted. "My husband."
We didn't get out of bed for hours.
There was no rush. No war waiting. No enemies at the door.
Just breakfast in bed. Just his hands in mine.
Just the way he looked at me like I hung the moon.
"You hungry?" he asked later, feeding me strawberries.
"For you," I answered honestly.
He set the plate down. "Dangerous words, wife."
"Promises," I corrected. And kissed him.
The pack could wait. The world could wait.
Today was ours.
And tonight... tonight I would remind him exactly
why he surrendered to me.
# Chapter 14
## Part 2
They called it a honeymoon.
I called it the first time we got to just... be.
No Council. No war. No blood on the floors.
Just Luca. Just me. Just us.
### 1. THE ESCAPE
"Pack your bag," Luca said the morning after our wedding.
He was already dressed. Black shirt. Black pants.
But his eyes were soft when they landed on me.
"Where are we going?" I asked, pulling a sweater over my head.
"Somewhere they can't find us," he answered. "For 3 days.
Just you and me."
My heart stopped. "Luca... the pack, the Council--"
"Can handle themselves for 3 days," he cut me off.
Crossed the room and kissed my forehead. "I need you alone, Aria.
No Alpha. No Luna. Just husband and wife."
I melted. "Okay."
He took me to a cabin. In the mountains.
Snow outside. Fire inside.
And nothing but the sound of our breathing.
### 2. THE FIRST MORNING
I woke up to warmth.
His arms around me. His face buried in my hair.
"Morning," he mumbled. Voice rough with sleep.
"Morning," I whispered back.
He didn't move for a long time. Just held me.
Like he was afraid I'd vanish if he let go.
"You okay?" he finally asked.
"Better than okay," I said. Turned in his arms.
"I'm with you."
Something in his face broke. "God, I love you."
"I love you too," I answered. "So much it scares me."
"Don't be scared," he said. Kissed me. Slow. Deep.
"I'm not going anywhere."
We made breakfast together. Burned the toast.
Laughed about it.
For the first time, Luca Blackthorn laughed.
Really laughed. And it was the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard.
### 3. THE SNOW
That afternoon it started snowing.
Heavy. White. Covering the world.
"Come here," Luca said. Grabbed my hand and pulled me outside.
"Luca it's freezing!" I laughed, running after him in just
my sweater and his jacket.
He stopped in the middle of the snow and pulled me to him.
"No one can see us," he whispered. "No one can hear us.
Just say my name."
"Luca," I breathed.
He kissed me in the snow.
Cold air. Warm mouth.
His hands in my hair. Mine around his neck.
We were freezing and on fire at the same time.
When we went back inside, we were soaked and shaking.
But not from the cold.
He peeled the wet clothes off me. Slowly.
Like unwrapping a gift.
"Aria," he said. "Look at me."
I did.
"I've wanted you like this for years," he confessed.
"Not just your body. All of you. Your fire. Your fight.
The way you never backed down from me."
"And now you have me," I whispered.
"Now I have everything," he answered.
### 4. THE NIGHT
The fire crackled. The snow fell.
And in that cabin, there was only us.
Luca was different here.
Softer. Slower. Like he finally had time.
He traced every inch of me like he was learning me again.
Like he wanted to memorize me so he'd never forget.
"Tell me," he whispered against my skin. "What do you want?"
"You," I answered. "Only you."
"Good," he growled. "Because that's all you'll ever get."
That night he made love to me like it was the first time
and the last time all at once.
Desperate. Tender. Possessive.
Like he was trying to brand his soul onto mine.
"Say it," he begged in the dark. "Say you're mine."
"I'm yours," I cried. "Luca, I'm yours."
"And I'm yours," he promised. "Every broken piece.
Every dark thought. All of it. Yours."
We fell asleep tangled together.
His heartbeat the only lullaby I needed.
### 5. THE PROMISE
On the last night, we sat by the fire.
Luca's arm around me. My head on his shoulder.
"Can I tell you something?" he asked quietly.
"Anything."
"When I was 18, my father made me kill a man.
First time. I came home and threw up for hours."
He paused. "I thought I'd never feel anything again."
I squeezed his hand.
"Then I met you," he continued. "16 years old.
Fiery. Stubborn. You slapped me for calling you 'kid'."
He laughed softly. "And I felt something.
For the first time in years, I felt."
"Luca..."
"I spent 6 years trying to hate you," he said.
"Because loving you meant I was weak.
And Alphas can't be weak."
He turned me to face him.
"But you made me weak, Aria. And it's the best thing
that's ever happened to me."
Tears fell down my face. "I love you."
"I know," he smiled. Wiped them away.
"Marry me again tomorrow?"
I laughed through my tears. "Yes. Every day. For the rest of my life."
He kissed me then. Sweet. Sure.
Like a promise sealed.
### 6. COMING HOME
We went back 3 days later.
The pack was waiting. The Council was waiting.
The world was waiting.
But nothing could touch us now.
Because we had this.
We had us.
That night, Luca held me and whispered in the dark:
"Whatever comes next, we face it together.
You and me. Against the world."
"Always," I whispered back.
And I meant it.
Because the devil had claimed me.
And I had claimed him right back.
# Chapter 14
## Part 3
Three days in the mountains changed us.
We came back different. Softer.
Like the war outside couldn't touch what we had inside.
### 1. THE KITCHEN
It was a Sunday morning.
Sunlight through the windows.
The smell of coffee.
And Luca Blackthorn... wearing an apron.
An apron.
I stood in the doorway and stared.
"You're cooking?"
He turned, spatula in hand, and smirked.
"Don't look so shocked, wife. I can cook."
"Since when?" I walked to him. Wrapped my arms around his waist from behind.
"Since I married a woman who deserves breakfast in bed every day,"
he said. Then ruined it by flipping a pancake and getting it on my face.
"Luca!" I shrieked.
He laughed. Actually laughed. And then kissed the pancake off my cheek.
"Tastes better on you," he murmured.
We didn't eat for another hour.
### 2. THE GARDEN
After breakfast, he took my hand.
"Come."
The estate had a garden. Hidden. Private.
Full of white roses. His mother's favorite.
"She used to bring me here," Luca said quietly.
"When the pack was too much. When being Alpha was too heavy."
I sat on the bench beside him. "Tell me about her."
"She was kind," he said. "In a world of wolves, she was kind.
She told me one day I'd find someone who made me want to be better."
He looked at me. "She was right."
My heart melted. "Luca..."
"Don't cry," he said. Brushed my tears away. "These are happy tears, right?"
"Very happy," I whispered. Leaned into him.
He pulled me onto his lap. Right there in the garden.
No one around. No one watching.
Just us and the roses.
"Can I tell you a secret?" he asked.
"Always."
"I used to come here and talk to her," he admitted. "About you.
Before I even knew you. I told her one day I'd find someone
who scared me and healed me at the same time."
"And did you?"
His arms tightened around me. "I did. I found you."
### 3. THE PIANO
That evening, it rained.
We were inside. Dry. Safe.
I heard music. Soft. From the west wing.
I followed the sound.
And there he was.
Luca. At a piano.
Playing.
I'd never seen him like this.
No suit. No weapons. No Alpha mask.
Just him. In a white shirt. Hair messy.
Fingers moving over the keys like they were made for it.
"What is that?" I whispered.
He didn't stop playing. "Something my mother taught me."
It was beautiful. Sad. And perfect.
When he finished, the room was silent except for the rain.
"Play it again," I asked.
He shook his head. "That one is just for you."
He stood and pulled me to him.
"Dance with me?"
"There's no music."
"There's rain," he said. And started humming.
And we danced.
In the empty room. In the rain.
His arms around me. My head on his chest.
No steps. No rules. Just us.
### 4. THE NIGHT
Later, in bed, he couldn't sleep.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said. "Everything. I keep waiting for it to go away."
"What?"
"This," he said. "Us. The peace."
I turned to face him. "It's not going anywhere."
"You don't know that," he whispered. There was fear in his voice.
Real fear. "I've never had this, Aria. Never."
"Then let me give it to you," I said. "Every day.
For as long as you'll let me."
He looked at me. Really looked.
"Forever?"
"Forever," I promised.
He pulled me close. Tighter than ever before.
Like he was trying to merge us into one person.
"I don't deserve you," he said into my hair.
"Good thing I don't care," I answered. "I want you anyway."
He laughed. Soft. "Stubborn."
"Yours," I corrected.
"Always," he answered.
And then he showed me.
Not with words. With hands. With lips. With the way he held me
like I was precious and breakable and his.
It was slow. Sweet.
Like we had all the time in the world.
Because for the first time, we did.
### 5. MORNING
I woke up to him watching me.
"Stop staring," I mumbled.
"Can't," he said. "You're too pretty in the morning."
I threw a pillow at him. He caught it and pinned my hands down.
"Careful, Luna," he warned. "I haven't had my coffee yet.
I'm dangerous."
"You're always dangerous," I smiled.
"Only to you," he said. And kissed me.
Long. Deep. Like he had all the time in the world.
After, we lay there. Tangled. Happy.
"Can we do this every day?" I asked.
"Which part?" he teased. "The cooking? The dancing?
Or this part?"
"All of it," I said. "I want all of it. With you."
He pressed a kiss to my forehead.
"Then you got it. All of me. Every day."
Outside, the rain stopped.
The sun came out.
And in our little world, everything was perfect.
# Chapter 14
## Part 4 - Yours, Until The End
The rain started on a Tuesday.
I stood by the window, watching the drops race down the glass.
Behind me, the house was quiet. Too quiet.
Luca was gone. City business. 48 hours.
48 hours without him felt like 48 years.
The door opened.
"Didn't think I'd find you here," he said.
I turned. And forgot how to breathe.
Luca. Drenched. Hair dripping. Shirt clinging to him.
Eyes only for me.
"What are you doing here?" I whispered. "You said two days."
"I lied," he said simply. Crossed the room in three steps.
"Couldn't do it. Couldn't stay away."
Water dripped from him onto the floor.
But he didn't care. He only had eyes for me.
"You're soaked," I said. Stupid thing to say.
"You're here," he answered. "That's all that matters."
He pulled me into his arms. Cold and wet and perfect.
I could smell rain and him and home.
"I missed you," he murmured into my hair. "God, Aria.
I missed you so much it hurt."
"I missed you too," I cried. "Every second."
He pulled back just enough to see my face.
His thumb brushed away a tear I didn't know I'd shed.
"Don't cry," he whispered. "I'm here now. I'm not going anywhere."
### THE NIGHT
We didn't make it to the bedroom.
He kissed me against the wall. Desperate. Hungry.
Like he was trying to make up for every second we were apart.
"Tell me," he growled against my lips. "Tell me you missed me."
"I missed you," I gasped. "I missed you so much."
"Good," he said. "Because I don't think I can survive
another night without you."
He carried me upstairs. Kicked the door shut behind us.
Didn't bother with the lights. The moon was enough.
"Look at me," he commanded softly.
I did. Got lost in gold.
"I love you," he said. "I love you so much it scares me.
You are my peace. My war. My everything."
"Then show me," I whispered. "Show me how much."
And he did.
It wasn't fast. It wasn't rough.
It was slow. Deep. Like he was memorizing me all over again.
Like he needed to remind himself I was real.
His hands shook as they touched me.
"You're shaking," I said.
"Because I almost lost you," he confessed. "Because every time
I'm away from you, I think this might be the last time."
"Don't say that," I whispered.
"Then don't let me go," he answered.
I didn't. I couldn't.
That night we made promises without words.
With hands. With lips. With the way he held me
like I was the only thing keeping him alive.
After, he held me. Tight. Like I might disappear.
"Stay," he whispered. "Always stay."
"Always," I promised.
### THE MORNING
I woke up to coffee and sunlight.
Luca was sitting by the bed. Watching me.
Two mugs in his hands.
"Morning, wife," he said. And my heart melted.
"Morning, husband," I answered.
He handed me coffee. "How do you feel?"
"Like the luckiest woman in the world," I said honestly.
He smiled. That rare, real smile that was just for me.
"Good. Because I plan to remind you of that every day."
We spent the day doing nothing.
And it was everything.
Breakfast in bed.
Dancing in the kitchen.
Reading in the garden while he played with my hair.
Falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.
No war. No Council. No blood.
Just us.
### THE PROMISE
That night, he took me to the roof.
Blankets. Stars. And him.
"Can I tell you something?" he asked.
"Anything."
"When I was a kid, I used to come up here," he said.
"And wish for someone. Someone who would see me.
Not the Alpha. Not the monster. Just me."
He turned to me. "And then I found you."
Tears burned my eyes. "Luca..."
"I promise you," he said. Voice steady. "I promise
that I will spend every day of my life making sure
you never regret choosing me."
"I don't," I whispered. "I never will."
"Good," he said. Pulled me into his lap. "Because
I'm not letting you go. Ever."
He kissed me under the stars.
Soft. Sweet. Like a vow.
And I knew.
This was it.
This was home.
### EPILOGUE
Days turned into weeks.
The pack accepted me.
The Council stopped fighting.
And the Devil finally found peace.
In me.
One evening, I found him in his office.
Working. As always.
"You're working too hard," I said.
He looked up and smiled. "Was. Now I'm done."
He stood and came to me. "What do you want to do tonight?"
"Anything," I said. "As long as it's with you."
"Then let's do everything," he said. Took my hand.
"Cooking. Dancing. Fighting. Loving. All of it.
With you. For the rest of our lives."
I squeezed his hand. "Deal."
And as we walked out of the office together,
I thought about how far we'd come.
From enemies to lovers.
From war to peace.
From broken to whole.
The Alpha King had claimed me.
And I had claimed him right back.
Yours, until the end.
