Heartbreak

Something was definitely wrong. She decided to check on Ellen at home and got into her car. On getting there she discovered Elllen was not back yet. So she decided to head to Thomas' house as Ellen couldn't be anywhere else. She had to be there and nowhere else. She thought.
A few minutes later, she got to his house and spotted Ellen's car parked in the garage.
“Was everything okay? She thought and rushed out of her car to Ellen's car, only to find her with her face down on the wheels inside her own car. She was unconscious.
"s**t!" she cursed and quickly opened the door as she grabbed her out and carried her to her own car, placing her in the back seat.
Sia got into the passenger's seat with her and held her as she dialed Ellen's driver's number.
"Hello come to Thomas’ house and take Ellen's car back to her house," she said and after that, she ended the call and placed Ellen's palm on her cheek to feel it. She picked a water bottle on the car seat and sprinkled water on her. Ellen still didn't wake.
She checked her pulse and saw that she was okay but weak.
What must have happened though? She thought and decided to drive her out of the house.
It didn't take long for her to get to the nearest hospital not long. The emergency attendants brought a wheeling bed to carry her in.
Ellen opened her eyes and looked around her surroundings, realizing she had been admitted to a hospital.
Pained, she remembered her encounter with Thomas earlier and tears streamed down her face.
"You are awake," Sia said when she heard the sounds of Ellen sobbing.
"Don't cry Ellen. Everything would be fine.” Sia said , holding her hands.
"Why? How could he?"
"Ellen please...." Sia pleaded to her to stop crying. She could feel her pain and was trying her best not to end up crying with her too.
"I never expected this from him. He told me he loved me only to be cheat on me with other women. Is it wrong that I wanted to keep my body till later? Why did he have to hurt me so much. “ Ellen continued.
“I was ready to make a compromise for him. I was going to, only to find him with another lady. And he went on to f**k her right after I had seen them, in my presence!” she cried.
"I am so sorry about this," Sia said as she took a clean handikerchief from her bag and helped Ellen to clean her tears and pat her hands, to comfort her.
"Everything will be just fine Ellen. A man that truly loves you for who you are, will come your way soon and trust me, you will be the happiest on earth when that happens." Sia said to her, trying all she could to console her.
It took them hours to be able to come to terms together with everything. It was already late night, when they finally left the hospital
"Do you still want to go home?" Sia asked Ellen...
"What is the time?" Ellen asked.
"It's already ten”
"I still want to go to my house. Did you have my driver take my car away from that beast's house?
"Yes I did," she said to her and soon, they discharged themselves from the hospital and made their way to Ellen's house.
Sia made sure Ellen was comfortable before she left her room to go sleep in the next room.
Ellen still had eyes open, she took a very deep breath as she reflected on all that had happened through the day.
Maybe this was all a dream or some hallucination. She was going to have her sleep and start fresh over tomorrow like nothing ever happened. she thought as she then placed her head on her pillow and finally went to sleep.
The next morning, Ellen woke up and the first thing she did was to walk into her bathroom to clean up. After that, she left the room and went downstairs.
When she got downstairs, she heard some noise coming from the kitchen and went to open the door to check only to see Sia making breakfast.
"Good morning," she said and Sia turned in surprise.
"Wow you woke up earlier than I had expected you to," she said to her and Ellen nodded as she approached her.
"I guess yeah"
"how do you feel now?" she asked Ellen.
"I feel energetic. I am breaking up with Thomas." she spat and Sia stopped in her steps"That's not true!" she said in complete shock.
"Haha, that's actually the truth. I guess I can live without him. I have experienced enough with him, and I have had enough. " she said to her best friend. I was so worried about you yesterday and thought it would be hard to let him go."
"I am grateful we had nothing s****l to do together, I wonder now things would be now for us. One thing is clear, it would have hurt so much more than now.
"He attempted to?" sia asked surprised.
"Not really? He asked me to choose between my body and the relationship. I was considering giving in to it already , as I decided to leave his place first. But then he requested for homemade food." she told Sia.
"Okay..."
"I had just finished cooking up and presented it to him on his dining table when I couldn't find him in his sitting room. I then went inside to call onhim just to see him banging another woman on his bed."
“That's so insane Honey. That would mean the lady had been in his room waiting all that while!”
"That actually didn't break my heart. What broke my heart was he saw me but didn't care and continued his affair like I wasn't there," she said to her.
"Thomas is really something else. What do you plan to do now?" Sia asked Ellen.
"What else?" Ellen asked back with a chuckle.
"Sounds like you have a plan."
“Not exactly. But I am just done with men." Ellen said with confidence.
“Oh, Ellen! Ther are many great men out there who wouldn't hurt you “
"I don't need a good man anymore. I am not giving out my body either!." Ellen said as she pinched the food being prepared.
