“I can understand what you are feeling,” the Duke said, “but I still think if he behaves badly that is no reason for you to do so.”
There was silence and then Oleta asked,
“What do you want me to do?”
“I want you to tell the Duke yourself that you do not wish to marry him because you don’t love him.”
“How can I love him when I have never even seen him?” Oleta added.
“I think he will understand if you say that. It’s a very reasonable argument that any reasonable man would accept.”
“But I don’t believe he is reasonable.”

“Do you really think that he could own the magical Castle you have just seen and be responsible for adding the fountains and the stretch of water alongside it without having imagination?”
