The Alpha conference
The first day of the Alpha conference was hell. She arrived alone and never felt more alone, especially as the Alphas entered with their Beta's and higher-ranking members and their families. She spotted Chenoa and received a cold shoulder, which was fine by her. She refused to acknowledge any of them. She did, however, feel a sting when she saw Amaralus arrive with Zara. That was her cue to go and get settled down in her room before the meetings began. She was approached by a young guy with glasses and a stack of folders. She watched him handing everyone a folder as they arrived. He walked up to her, "Chosen," he said in a very nasal tone.
She held her hand out for her folder when he held up a finger, "One moment." He walked away and she stood waiting for her folder.
