Dead to me now

Catori gave orders to Grace not to allow Blaine a moment alone, "You are a selfish f*****g asshole you knew your kids were coming and you were going to make me tell them you were dead!" She punched him so hard his jaw cracked. Out of spite, she grabbed his face and painfully healed him. "If he gives you any trouble, call me." She said to Grace, "Summer does not wish to spend time with you, so I have Spring and Angel. f*****g d**k!" She huffed, stomping away. "Dad!" BJ came running past her at full speed. He was so excited to have time with Blaine. Catori shook her head in disgust, "Girls, come let me show you something." She led them outside, "Let me hear your best whistle." They both stuck their fingers in their mouths and whistled way louder than Catori expected. They looked at each other giggling at her surprised expression. "My daddy taught me that," Angel announced, "Both of us!" Spring chimed in. Her bubbly personality was so adorable to Catori. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to have a daughter of her own. Catori pointed to the sky as the Unicorns came into view. Angel began to squeal and Spring burst into tears. "Honey, are you okay?" Catori asked. The child was completely overwhelmed with excitement. "They are so beautiful," Spring cried. Catori found her to be so cute and she smiled as the unicorns allowed the girls to rub them. "Would you like to brush them? They really like that." Catori asked, and both girls started bouncing up and down. Catori handed them both a brush and they quickly began to brush the beautiful beast. BJ came out a little later and he watched as the girls brushed before grabbing Springs' brush. "Do you think they love me, brother? I love them." Spring asked BJ. "Of course, they love you, " BJ quickly assured his sister. He had a very gentle way with her. Catori found herself admiring this as well. Flashback "It hurts," Catori cried as she held onto her knee. "It's okay sister. I can fix it." Khrisna ran his hand over her knee, "Is that better?" he asked. Catori wiped her tears with the back of her hand, "Yes, thank you, brother." "You run too fast. You have to slow down." Khrisna kissed her knee. "I know Brother, I will slow down. Thank you again. You're the best brother I have got." Catori said. "I'm the only brother you got." Khrisna pointed out. "Yes, but if I get another one I will still love you the most." Catori wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. Catori blinked a few times as the memory faded. She looked at Blaine and sighed. Why did she have so much trouble seeing him and Khrisna as one and the same? She thought to herself. 'Maybe because then you would have to admit you are both horrible people then.' Azira pointed out, 'Do you believe I am a horrible person, Azira?' Catori asked Azira. 'I think that you had better get something from those f*****g fairies asap because if not somebody is going to get the business.' Azia hissed. Catori frowned. The last thing she needed was a horny Azira on the prowl. That would not go well. Azira could get aggressive when she was in need. She tried not to think about the fact that Zion had left her in this condition. This was making her rethink mating with him again. "So I have to take a trip to visit the fairies and," Before Catori could finish, the girls were bouncing up and down. "Can we come please?" They begged. "I was going to leave you here but I guess that would be fine," Catori said. BJ seemed pleased because now he had his dad to himself. "Dad, I don't want any more sisters. They cry way too much!" BJ was saying to his dad right before she left. She couldn't help but laugh because she could remember Khrisna saying the same thing to her parents. The Fairies Seeing the fairies all crammed up in one mansion was sad. Their numbers had diminished at an alarming rate when the Vargas first appeared. Catori was so saddened at what she saw. Had Madeline not been dead, Catori would definitely have killed her. She was glad she was gone now. There would just have been more animosity between her and Zion, as if it could get much worse. "Many left when they started appearing. They migrated to places where they had not heard of, especially after Ameria had fallen." The queen Gloria explained. "The beast will be extinct soon. I have been eliminating the nest. Putting them back into their natural form. You need to go home, Gloria, and rebuild Ameria." Catori insisted. "Yes, I agree, but my time has passed. It is time for a new queen, but I can't find a suitable replacement and we have no children. Also, Ameria was overrun by them, we were considered delicate by them." She explained. "You have such a huge family, how is that possible? That there is no one to replace you and I have heard how they hunted your kind. I am sorry I was not here to assist you." Catori asked. "No one was here to help. I suppose everyone had their own problems and the one person that did offer....we did not want the help" She admitted leerily "Oh and who was that?" Catori asked. "The demigod came to us. He offered his help, but we would never go against you Chosen." Gloria said, "Wait, Blaine offered to help you. Why?" Catori asked, "I don't remember. I think he was trying to make amends. He said something about regretting the decisions he made. It was a long time ago and there was a lot going on. I don't recall his exact words. Well, we could go to Ofara, but since the king's death it's hard to get passage through." Queen Gloria explained, changing the subject back to finding a new Queen. Catori could get passage through. No place was off limits to her now. The fairies in Ofara were known to be shifty. They did not like interference from outsiders and she was considered an outsider. They lived by their own rules and refused to follow hers. She was okay with that as long as there was no harm being done to the fairies as a whole. "Who in Ofara would you find suitable?" "My Niece Rashida is now of age. She would be perfect to rule and she has reached out to me in the past stating she would love the position but her father is impossible to reason with." Gloria looked at her sadly, "he feels that the human world is beneath him. He has always frowned upon this dimension. He would never take you seriously Chosen without bloodshed." "Understood," Catori knew it was risky, the fairies of Ofara had power beyond measure and she wondered if this would cause her problems, being that she was at half-power without a mate. True, she could rise again if there were trouble, but Rashida's power would be very close to hers. She would need an army and not just any army one she could trust. "No, I don't think you do understand. You can't go to Ofara without an army behind you. They are not regular fairies." Gloria began, "Gloria I know. During my sleep, I connected with the ones before me on a deeper level. Your brother is quite powerful, but I fear no one in this domain or the next. I will retrieve your Niece for you and, in the meantime, please rebuild Ameria. If you need assistance, let me know. Now about those pies?" Gloria laughed and waved at another fairy. The fairy went inside, returning with three brown bags of pies. "Thank you, Gloria. One more thing, my heat is here and I am very uncomfortable. I got pills from the witches but they are gone. Do you have something that will maybe help?" Gloria gave her a sympathetic look, "Honey, I have something, but if you come down off of it and you have not found someone to ease your discomfort, someone could get hurt. It will be worse, way more intense." "I'll take it!" Catori said quickly. "Thank you, Chosen." Catori gathered the girls after buying them both something to remember their trip. Angel got a necklace with fairies, and Spring went for the dancing fairy music box. She wanted something she and her sister could both enjoy, "One more stop ladies." Catori teleported to the human world. "I have something for a friend." She said as she walked up to an apartment and knocked. Heather's mom opened the door, "Chosen!" She seemed surprised. "Hello, sorry for not giving notice but I'm taking these two young ladies to the mall and I thought maybe Heather would like to join us if that's okay with you," Catori said to her mom. Heather's mom looked starstruck. Finally, she stepped to the side to allow them to enter. "When you said you would come by every now and then, I thought you were joking." Her mother confessed. "Well, I try to keep my promises, especially to the children." Catori explained, sensing some apprehension from Heather's mom, "What is it?" Catori asked her. "She doesn't have friends. The kids pick on her a lot, so she is awkward around other children." Catori looked at her oddly. "Pick on her, why?" Catori asked, "I work two jobs and we barely make ends meet, so her clothes are not always….new." Her mom looked ashamed when she admitted this. "Oh," Catori said awkwardly. Just then Heather peeked out of her room and hearing Catori's voice she came running. "Oh hi, Heather!" Catori was genuinely excited about seeing her. "I missed you," Heather said, hugging her. "I missed you too." Catori looked up at her mom, "can she come?" "Yes, of course," her mom said. "Great, this is Angel and Spring. Girls, this is my friend Heather." Catori said, Heather looked at them shyly but Spring was definitely soft-natured like her mom. She walked right over to Heather and hugged her, "We are best friends." She pointed at Angel, "wanna be best friends too?" Catori laughed a little as Angel and Spring stared at her, waiting for a reply. "Yes, I'd like that," Heather said, "Yay!" Angel said with excitement and they all three hugged. I want a hundred little girls, Catori mumbled. "No, way too expensive." Heather's mom said. Catori had originally just planned on buying them a toy and a dress each, but of course, she was buying Heather a wardrobe. She sent a mind link to the girls explaining that Heather was less fortunate and how much she would appreciate it if they did not question why she got more on this trip than them. 'It's okay, we understand. We can be considerate.' Angel said, 'Yes, we can be good friends.' Spring said. This really warmed Catori's heart and the girls had as much fun shopping for Heather as she did. Catori had also noticed the worn-down furniture in the apartment, so she decided to redo her entire place. They stopped at a furniture store and she bought furniture for every room. "I'm hungry." Catori groaned after hearing her stomach grumble. "Pizza!" Heather squealed, "Pizza it is." So Catori and the girls stopped at a local family-owned pizza parlor and ordered twenty pizzas. She left 2 with Heather's mom and Heather's new wardrobe. Her mom was so grateful and even more so after she told her about the furniture being delivered the next day. The woman burst into tears. "Hit me up next weekend so I can get the kids together for a sleepover. I want Heather to meet the boys. If that is okay?" "Chosen," "Please call me Catori." "Catori, how can I ever thank you?" She asked, "Well, if you could keep the good deeds between us, that would be great. I still get prayers. People don't seem to understand I am not a God or Goddess. I can't do this for everyone, but I do like to help people in my circle and, since my return, that circle has gotten smaller, so I'm making new friends. I hope I can consider you a friend." The woman hugged her and smiled, "I would be honored to be a friend to you." Catori was exhausted and aching when she returned to Listeria and both girls were yawning. "Well, how was your day?" Catori asked Grace. "Emotional, but thank you so much for allowing us this time." She said to Catori. Catori could tell there was more she wanted to say but she did not and that was fine with her. She took her and the baby back to Zerion, gave them pizza, and was off to Silver Crescent. The pack was all circled around a campfire roasting marshmallows. She stopped at Tabatha's first, "Mommy!" Spring ran to Tabatha. She could not wait to tell Tabatha and Richard all about her day. "Oh guys, did you have fun?" Tabatha asked. "We saw Unicorns!" BJ yelled, "And fairies!" Spring squealed. "It's not fair I wanted to go." Summer was still whining like she was earlier, the child was in a terrible mood. Catori tried not to find it too annoying. She knew kids would be kids, but it was still a little irritating if she was being honest. "Maybe next time honey," Catori said to her. She stood outside loading Richards's arms with bags. "Sorry, I got a little carried away with the shopping." Tabatha said nothing, she just studied Catori as Chenoa walked up. "Dora is super pissed at you." "Oh, she will get over it," Catori said, brushing it off, which rubbed Chenoa wrong. "Well, it hurt her feelings, Cat," Chenoa said, and it was then that Dora came out of nowhere shoving Spring. "She is my auntie, not yours," Dora said, crossing her arms. "Hey Dora, you apologize right now!" Catori said sternly. "Dora, that's not nice," Chenoa said way too calmly for Catori's liking. "That is exactly why you and Summer did not go. I don't like your behavior." Catori said, "And when have you seen her behavior? You're never around." Chenoa let out an obnoxious snort. Catori cut her eyes at Chenoa, "You really want to go there?" "I'm just saying, your acting like Dora is a bully or something." Chenoa glared at Catori. "She kind of is," Tabatha mumbled, "What," Chenoa let out a low growl. "Don't do that," Catori snapped at Chenoa. "Maybe you're part of the problem." "Excuse me? What problem?" Chenoa asked. "There twins! How many times has Summer been in your house without Spring?" Catori asked Chenoa. "Well, that's not my fault they get along better," Chenoa said, "Is that why? Have you ever asked them why they don't all play together? You don't think it's odd that she spends more time with Dora than her twin?" Catori asked, Chenoa stared at her. Chenoa did the thing she did with her mouth when she was thinking things over. Finally, she said, "Dora, why do you play with Summer and not Spring?" "I don't like them both," Dora answered honestly. "But why?" Chenoa asked. "Because I want a sister and I don't have one, so Summer is my sister," Dora explained. Chenoa looked at her innocent little face and then at Spring, who was hiding behind her mom's legs. Tabatha was red in the face, obviously upset. "Dora, you can't just take someone else's sister. And why did you only want to be sisters with Summer and not both girls?" "I wanted to be twins, not triplets. Like you and Auntie," Dora explained. "I understand that, but you made Spring sad and you can't just take a sister." Chenoa stifled a laugh. She couldn't help but find it a little humorous that Dora was definitely her child. "Dora apologize right now," Chenoa ordered. "For what?" Dora asked. "For being a bully. You can't just be mean to Spring because you want her sister to be yours." Chenoa said. "I wasn't really mean," Dora whined,. "Yes you were kind of, you said you wouldn't be my friend if I came with her to play." Summer said, "Oh, you're not innocent honey, not at all!" Richard spoke up, taking the words out of Catori's mouth. "You girls are sisters and if Dora said that, then you should have told an adult or just not play with her. You always take up for each other. Always have your sister's back. She always has your back. Even though you were not with us today, Spring still thought of you. She begged for you to get the same things that she and Angel got. You need to do better. You stood by and let someone hurt your sister's feelings and you went along with it." Catori said to Summer, "What type of sister intentionally brings someone along that is going to hurt and cause pain to them?" Chenoa caught the shade, "Really? You got something to say, say it!" "I'm out, it's late and I'm aching," Catori said, walking away. "Go ahead and run seems to be what you do best these days. And for the f*****g record I didn't know Zara was his mate." Catori spun around, "I don't give a f**k what you know. You came to a party you were not invited to and ruined my night. Have you not taken enough from me, Chenoa?" "Oh wow!" Chenoa threw her hands up, "You know what, get over it already Catori. I am! I am so over this f*****g pity party you have been on! I have said sorry to you a thousand times." Chenoa walked up on her with her hands on her hips. Tabatha grabbed all the kids and practically shoved them into the house. 'This might get ugly,' Richard groaned as he mind linked Kevin, 'Might need help. I think Chenoa and Catori are about to go around.' He grabbed BJ and shoved him into the house. "In your rooms!" Tabatha ordered as she closed the door behind her. Not even looking back to notice the kids all peeking out the window. The woman glared at each other, "I'm sure you would love me to get over it, Chenoa then you don't have to feel bad when you mind f**k my mate in front of me." Catori growled. Chenoa rubbed her stomach, "He isn't your mate Catori he is mine. Your bond broke, remember?" Chenoa hissed, "How could I forget it was when you f****d him and allowed him to claim you and ripped my heart out b***h!" Catori screamed at her. Chenoa beat on her chest as she said each word, "I didn't know! How long are you going to keep punishing me, Cat?" Chenoa yelled at her. "Punishing you! I haven't done anything to Chenoa your tripping! I have left you and him alone since I returned. What the f**k do you want from me?" Catori laughed, "MY SISTER!" Chenoa choked out, "Cat, I miss my sister. You're punishing me every day!" "Chenoa," Catori tried to find the words to say. "Why can't you just forgive me?" Chenoa was crying now. "Chenoa, I have forgiven you, but I can't be what you want me to be. I can't see you happy with what was mine when my heart, my body, my soul still aches for him. You know my mind gets it…but" she sighed, "I'm sorry, Noah, I stay away because I don't trust myself around him. I stay away because I love you and I don't want to hurt you." Catori didn't want to admit it, but it was her truth. "So I lost you. I lost my sister." Chenoa asked as tears rolled down her face. "I am here if you need me, Noah." Catori whispered, "It's not the same and you know it," Chenoa said, looking at her sister. She felt a sharp pain in her heart. "When was the last time you slept? You're thinner every time I see you. Chastity says you haven't answered her either, Cat, you can't shut everyone out. You have to at least try!" Chenoa yelled, "Oh my Goddess" Catori rolled her eyes, pulling at her hair in frustration. "With who? Should I hang out with Tabatha? Nope, she f****d the guy that stabbed me in the back and, if I recall, she told me to go f**k myself," "I made a mistake. Why are you being such a b***h Catori? Richard forgave me why can't you?" Tabatha crossed her arms. She refused to cry, although she was hurt that, as always, it came back to her and Blaine. "Richard is a f*****g i***t!" Catori shouted, looking around Chenoa at Richard, "By the way, I bought pies from the fairies, have two of them." "Gee thanks," Richard mumbled, insulted but not too much to grab his two pies and set them aside. "You were all buddy-buddy with Blaine and you screwed Kreis, Zion has a mate, and every chance I gave him to reject her he did not. The only person I can halfway tolerate is River. And when I try to start over with someone else, you and Chastity show up with Zara and ruin it all! So excuse me if I don't seem to be adjusting at the rate which you would like." Catori yelled at her. "Chastity and I were there to help b***h! I don't give a s**t you didn't invite me to your stupid party. I had one of my own. I came because I knew Zion was going to blow your spot up. I was there to stop him. Newsflash, everyone in the world is not against you Cat. And you should be thanking me that man did not belong to you." Chenoa was inches away from her, their noses nearly bumped and she noticed her face twitch when she said Amaralus did not belong to her, but she was not about to say sorry and take it back because it was true. The fact was he was Zara's true mate, period. "I refuse to kiss your ass! I'm done Chosen you don't have to worry about me ever and I mean ever contacting your self-absorbed ass anymore!" Chenoa said and went to walk away. "Great, oh wait, don't forget your pizza." Catori grabbed her, and shoved the pizza boxes into Chenoa's hands. Her nonchalant attitude rubbed Chenoa wrong after she had just poured her heart out. She took the pizza box and slung it, hitting Catori in the back of the head. "Oh no the f**k you didn't!" Catori turned around and punched Chenoa in the nose. The next thing you knew, the ladies were rolling around in the dirt. "She's pregnant, we really need to break this up," Tabatha said nervously. "Richard, who do you want to grab?" Kevin asked. "Really dude Chenoa, you're the Beta you, take on the Chosen." Richard said, "s**t," Kevin huffed as he watched Catori wrap her legs around Chenoa's neck, squeezing. Chenoa took a hand full of dirt tossing it into Catori's eyes. "s**t," Kevin huffed again as he and Richard headed toward them. Catori screamed taking her elbow she hit Chenona in the chest. neither Kevin nor Richard was looking forward to getting between the two women. Kevin grabbed Catori and found himself lying on the ground flat on his back with his arm broken. Richard grabbed Chenoa and she grabbed his balls and crushed them, then dove at Catori again. "DAMNIT WHAT THE HELL!" Dorkis walked up to both women, yanking them up by their hair, "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN HOW GROWN YOUR ASSES ARE. I'M NOT HAVING THIS s**t!" He was fuming as both girls went for each other still. Chenoa whimpered at the pain as her father shoved her backward and slapped the fire out of Catori in the same motion. "She is pregnant!" He yelled at Catori. Catori was so pissed she felt like he was taking Chenoa's side, she didn't even realize Azira had come to the surface. Dorkis did not back down; his wolf came forward and glared back at Azira. It was not about strength because Azira could easily defeat Dorkis's wolf. It was respect. Azira recognized her father and whimpered, bowing down, she backed away. "She started it. I was leaving, but you always take their side. I bet you both would be happy if I just stayed dead. Don't worry, I'm dead to you. Believe that!" Catori said, vanishing. Listeria Catori appeared again and Blaine could already tell something had happened. She practically ran into the water, floating on her back. She stared up at the sky as she cried. He had to watch her but he said nothing to her. Her moods were simply too unpredictable and he was afraid of dying again after what he had seen earlier. All he could do now was encourage his son now to be careful about the choices he made in life. The impact of those choices affected not only him but the people he would love as well.
