My heart began to pound more and more. I couldn't wrap my head around it.

Emerson and I being mates? But us being mates doesn't make sense does it?

I know that Emerson and I have always been close to one another and then Camden bursting through the door so suddenly? My world is spinning upside down so fast I can't keep up at this point.

"Lu we need to talk."

"Camden...Uh come in?"

He stormed passed me sizing up Emerson. What the heck. Oh wait I forgot were mates...

"What are you doing here?" Camden said I saw his fist balling up as that vein in his neck began to bulge out.

"You tend to forget that Lu is my best friend and that I've been here many times and have been there for her more times then you can count with your stupid fingers that are probably covered in STD's at this point." Emerson said with the same amount of rage and anger.

I'm praying in my head that they don't trash my little sanctuary.

"Okay I think-"

"You think your more important to her then her own mate."

"Yes I do because I'm her best friend and her mate as well."

"Okay guys really-"

"Shut the s**t May you can't tell me s**t I am your Alpha."

"You still forget how little your Alpha command can work on me because your father hasn't passed down the title to you yet." Emerson's eyes began to light up green showing the his powers were going to start and take over.

I got in between them pushing them as far as my arm span can spread them apart.

"Please your going wreck my beautiful room before I leave. Now please calm down and relax. Okay please." I begged both of them."

Both of them didn't break their stare off so I continued, "So please stop this right now. Camden you can't just come into my room well house makeshift out of no where without knocking. And Emerson we need to talk about everything but we need to think about this war that's coming and everything and everyone that's going to be affected by it."

"Lu I know that your going to be going to Alpha Aden's pack.. I know I hadn't treated you like a mate should but you know how hard it is to be an Alpha. I want to give you a reason of everything and the reason why I am acting the way I am. My wolf wants you but I can't. It's not that your weak but our blood line can't be tainted and-"

"Okay hold up give me a minute. Your telling me that you don't want to mate with me because I would taint you blood line? Don't make me laugh you i***t. If that's your answer for why we won't be mates or why you don't want me you don't value s**t that the moon goddess gives us and that's what makes you weak more then a blood line. Also get your head out of your ass if you think that us being mates and you giving me this speech would make me beg for you to change your mind. You treated me like s**t and the only people there for me was Emerson, my family, and a few others who weren't trying to suck your d**k or trying to please your "valid" points. I wouldn't want to be mates with you in the slightest. I'm done with your going back and forth with you wanting to be mates with me or not. I won't reject you that's an easy way out but I want you to know I will never want you. I want you to be an alpha knowing that you will never be wanted by your mate and that you have to be the alpha of this pack alone. I will forgive you for bullying me because I don't like holding onto things that won't help me but I will never forget what you've done to me all these years. The pack needs a strong alpha in order to survive. And you will do it alone. This war that is coming is bigger then our own problems. It needs to come first because it will affect everyone in our world. Now will you please leave and only speak to me if has anything to do with the pack or the war at hand." I said as I opened the door.

I need to be strong. I'm not gonna lie that whole speech made me feel strong. But my heart hurt knowing but it was all for the best. I need to be strong. I need to move on in order for what is to come and I can't do that unless I let him go and let go of the pain he's caused my wolf and I.

His eyes were racing with many emotions that I couldn't tell as he stormed out and slammed the door.

"Lu.." I turned to see Emerson. My heart fluttered as he came up to me and engulfed me into a hug.

"You are and will always be the strongest person alive. Don't carry the burden of the war that's coming on yourself. I am here and will always be here. I know this news of us being mates is hard to understand and fully comprehend at the moment and we can always take our time with it okay? I'm not leaving any time soon."

I moved my head into his chest. His smell began to rush into my nose entirely. I wanted to stay in this moment and keep this moment just for a while before the reality hit again.

"Thank you Emmy." I mumbled.

"Lu." I turned to see Alpha Aden

I turned to him, "Yes Alpha?"

"Lu you need to pack right away and we need to have a pack meeting at my pack tonight. Something had happened."

"If you don't mind me asking Alpha what had happened?"

"A vampire had stepped forward. And also Mr.May is coming along with you to our pack so I suggest both of you start packing what you need." He said as he left us.
