Chapter Four

I have also learnt that not only husbands can be polygamous because men in relationships cheat on the their girlfriends claiming to be poligamous in nature and also have an Audacity to ask you to marry them with a promise that they would change after they have settled down and become a married man which turns out to be a very big fat and dirty lie..

I have been friends with Thelma gruesman for years and we have a lot in common, we share the same love for food , the same amount of hatred for cockroaches and spiders and most importantly we share an equal amount of love for paintings , movies and red velvet cakes but there was something we were extremely opposites at and that was our view of man .

Thelma was male centered because she grew up with a mother who recently left her fourth marriage and is about to get into the fifth one .

In our second year in college, on the first of September I had followed Thelma to William ‘s birthday party because they had just gotten back together after a one month break which happened because Thelma had checked his phone and found out he was cheating with a girl and had also shared a picture of his d**k to two other girls . He had begged her with promises that he was going to be committed and loyal and with multiple texts saying he made a mistake and girls were throwing themselves at him. I personally advised Thelma not to forgive him but eventually she did after my numerous pieces of advice . The party was indeed a big one because Williams was popular in school and had planned to use the party as a medium of promoting his new song and a choreography that he learnt with his crews.

We walked into the party and everywhere was hustling and buzzing with people dancing and singing and drinking and also playing games , this wasn’t my first party but I was surprised at the number of people that showed up , the numerous food options and an uncountable amount of light that was put in place for just a birthday. He immediately came to us and kissed his girlfriend and then waved at me. He definitely knew I had advised Thelma not to forgive him ,especially since he reached out to me so I could beg her and I told him I didn’t want a cheat for my friend .

I was ready to sit alone and be on my phone because I knew Thelma wouldn’t really be with me since she and her lover would be in the spotlight. Thankfully I saw our other friends and decided to join them .

As I sat with my other friends talking and gisting I looked around and realized Thelma wasn’t sitting where she was earlier but I didn’t worry too much about it because Williams wasn’t there either though i was concerned about one thing , I had seen her having drink dares with William’s friends and I knew her head doesn’t carry more than two cups of alcohol or two cans of beer , so I picked up my phone and dialed her number but she wasn’t answering, I stayed for a while before getting up to look for her .

I searched the sitting room but couldn’t find her so I went upstairs to check if she was in any of the rooms , I checked rooms , found couples making out and doing nasty things then I went to the bathroom thinking I would find her at a corner throwing up but she was nowhere to be found

I moved close to the next room and pushed the door open only to find William doing what someone in a relationship shouldn’t be doing . William was eating a girl out with his knees on the floor and the girl lying on the bed with her legs wide open and her upper body bare , her mini skirt coiled around her waist , when I saw the scene i immediately knew it wasn’t Thelma , I didn’t know if I would be happy of it was Thelma that was on the bed but seeing another girl there broke my heart because I knew she would be hurt even though I’d at a point say “ i told you so “ i was always right when it came to boys who would never be committed .

William ate the girl out so good that she made sounds that sounded pleasurable to me , he spread her legs wider , went deeper in between her legs , I could notice how slimy her wetness was , he then moved up and sucked her breasts softly then increased his pace as he sucked her breasts he fingered her simultaneously.

For a minute I forgot why I had stood there watching them , then suddenly I reached out to my pocket in search of my phone because since Thelma wasn’t here she needed an evidence to see that this wasn’t a mistake because he was engrossed into it that he didn’t even notice me standing by the door , I flipped to my camera then stopped halfway at a thought about why I should have a person’s s*x tape in my phone .He was about to remove his pants when he noticed me standing by the door so he hurriedly moved away from the bed then that was the time I nodded my head knowing that he had seen me because William was such a sweet talker that he could lie he never kissed a girl if i Whad just told this story without him knowing I had seen him .

I hurried downstairs and found Thelma sitting down

“ Where have you been ? I have been looking everywhere for you “ I said to her with a hesitation in my voice .

“ me too , I went to bring my gift packet from the vendor since he was delaying”

Immediately William came downstairs and walked towards her then she offered the gifts she had bought for him which he collected without any shame or guilt . Our eyes met at intervals and I asked myself “ why do men love cheating ? And why must they cheat ?

This isn’t a question I could answer and I’m absolutely not the first to ask it . I seen hundreds if not thousands of women on social media asking the same questions and telling their stories about how they were victims of cheating and abuse and I personally think that men with these tendencies could get diagnosed and get mental treatment.
