Lexi's heart sank as she looked at Julian. She hadn't seen him in months, and she wasn't sure what he wanted. "What is it?" she asked, trying to keep her voice neutral. Julian hesitated before speaking. "I've been thinking a lot about us, about our marriage," he said. "And I realize now that I made a huge mistake by cheating on you." Lexi raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "You're just realizing this now?" she asked. Julian nodded, looking ashamed. "I know it's too late, but I want you to know that I'm truly sorry for what I did," he said."I'm sorry, Julian," Lexi said, her voice firm but calm. "But I'm not interested in trying again. What you did was unforgivable, and I deserve better than someone who would cheat on me." Julian looked at her, his eyes filled with a mix of sadness and desperation. "Please, Lexi, don't say that," he said. "I love you, and I'll do anything to make it right." Lexi shook her head, feeling a sense of resolve wash over her. "It's too late for that, Julian," she said. "I've moved on, and I'm happy now. I deserve to be happy, and I won't let you ruin it for me." Julian's face fell, and he looked at Lexi with a sense of realization. "You're really gone, aren't you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Lexi nodded, feeling a sense of closure wash over her. "Yes, I'm gone," she said. "And I'm not coming back."
