Chapter 5
Kate stooped to kiss Holly goodbye and then thanked Sarah Murphy one more time for inviting Holly over to play. She waved and slipped out the door of Sarah’s large Victorian home, headed back to her Lexus. Holly loved playing with Michael, and even though Kate was technically taking the week off from work, she did want to run by the office and get some paperwork done. Sarah was so good with Holly, and she knew her daughter was looking forward to playing with Michael. They’d both gotten some Lego sets for Christmas, and this was the first chance Holly’d had to show him her presents, not that Kate had let her take everything she’d wanted to, but Holly had managed to cram a lot of her favorites into the one bag Kate said she could take. She just hoped Sarah didn’t step on any Legos
