It was Kaari.
Björn blinked and stared in unbelief. It was Kaari’s face all over the screens. She was dressed as a government official, as a spokeswoman for the Global Union. Björn’s heart pounded. It was impossible. She had died. A bomb tore her body apart. But why was her face broadcast on the screens then?
Björn shook his head while tears rose in his eyes. She was dead. Or was she? He has never seen a corpse.
Of course, you fool, because her body was torn to pieces.
But there was no proof. Maybe she was alive after all? Maybe she only staged her death? A government official who now united the underground and the Global Union.
