Two months went by and not a word was spoken between them about the night when Trevor had come home drunk, confessing his terrible secret. Since then, Lil had taken it upon herself to shower Trevor with all the love he’d never had.
Maybe if he realized how worthy of love he was, how much she truly cared for him and the potential future they could have together, he might want to pursue a more intimate, permanent relationship with her.
Of course, those were only her hopes; the future might be completely different. But for the time being she was willing to go against common sense and let her heart guide her and fight for Trevor. Fight against the past still holding his heart and soul hostage.
