Chapter 38: What Is This
Clark’s POV I hold Emmy to my chest as I run towards the pack hospital. Her body is limp and lifeless in my arms, causing me to panic. I can hear others chasing after me, their concern for the future Luna shows on their face. As we approach the hospital, I see staff already outside waiting for us. I hand Emmy over to the medical staff. I follow behind them briskly. There is no way I am going to let her out of my sight. They take her to a private suite. The room is filled with medical staff as they start checking her over. I experience some small relief when they hook her up to monitors that show me her heart is beating. I close my eyes and let out the deep breath I had been holding since arriving to the hospital. I stand there in the doorway watching everything
