Chapter 44: Trade
Emmeline’s POV When I arrive at my final stop my heart is pounding. I have no idea where to go from here. I walk around looking for any sign of what to do next. It isn’t until I get outside that I see someone familiar. His large frame looks out of place as he stands next to a black SUV. As I slowly approach the vehicle, Roy stands there glaring at me. The moment I get close enough, he grabs me and throws me in the back seat. I scramble to sit up only to see Roy walking around the front of the car and getting in the driver’s seat. I quickly notice that the doors are locked and that I am now trapped in a car with my enemy. “Where is Lily?” Roy just looks up in the rearview mirror and glares at me.
