Chapter 1

Assalamualakium everyone . i am minal shah .i am a doctor by profession . i have just completed my studies and soon going to start a job . today is my interview in KHAN hospital near neelam valley .its the only hospital in that area . i have come from lahore for this interview and right now i am staying in a hotel . its beautiful over here .... peaceful .



when i reached the hospital , it was beautiful . the view in front of it is breathtaking . i really hope that i ll be able to get a job over here , i have always wanted to live in place like this .

i went to the reception area and the girl over there directed me towards a room .she looked quite nice . two other lady doctors were also waiting for the interview .they looked older and more experienced .

. finally it was my turn for the interview . when i entered the room , 2 men and a woman was sitting there . i greeted them and the woman asked me to take a seat infront of them .

" hello , i am doctor aasia " the woman told me . she looked like in her late forties .i got to know that the man sitting to next is dr haris . he looked like in his early fifties . he has a kind look on his face for which i was greatful .

the 2nd man's name was DR siraaj .he looked like in his late twenties or a bit older .he had chocolate brown hair with light beard covering his face . his eyes were dark as if ready to pierce in someone's soul.

i gave my file to them . i knew that my grades were not going to be a problem because i was in the toppers of my class . the interview was going well . dr aasia and dr haris were asking me questions .

i could feel dr siraaj's eyes looking at me intently . it was making me nervous . when i thought that the interview is finally over . dr siraaj finally asked his first question " why do you want a job here ? "

his question and his eyes were making me nervous . it was like , he can see through my soul . i didnt know how to answer that question . they all were waiting for my answer .

" i want to serve the people here . it s my practiced answer . but the truth is , it doesnt matter , i like this place and always wanted to live in a place like this " i told them in a single breath and lowered my head.

" alright . you can go now . u will get notified by tomorrow morning " dr siraaj said . i mumbled my greetings and left as soon as u could .

i was sure that i had lost any of my chances to get a job in khan hospital . i sighed and decided to explore the area .

THIRD PERSON'S POV :

after hearing minal's reply , dr aasia and dr haris were shocked by her honesty . dr siraaj kept his face passive .when minal left the room , dr aasia and dr haris started laughing .

" she is such a sweet girl " dr aasia said .

after taking all the interviews , it was time for making decisions . "i think dr malaika ( another doc ) would a better option " dr haris said .

" but dr minal also looked very ambitious " dr aasia said . siraaj didnt say anything and left for his office .
