“If the list is small, it’s possible she came across her lover while she was here,” Gideon pondered aloud.
“Her lover?” Torben asked curiously, surprised by Gideon’s words.
“Yeah, Jesse figured out Irina is likely romantically involved with the person who is trying to get your formula. We’re actually running a trace on who she was with in Paris recently. She made a comment about someone taking her photo illicitly and Jesse felt it was only a half-truth. She felt the photo might have been staged by someone Irina was with.” Gideon’s raspy voice was filled with pride as he talked about Jesse’s theories. “Jesse has hypothesized a lover is making Irina do her dirty work.”
