The morning sped by, surprising Lizzie with the amount of activity going on around the old plantation house. Emma and Trisha were busy setting up for the photos, and the crews were making a racket out front replacing the porch floorboards. More than once, Lizzie caught Kevin motioning to her, but she ignored him. She knew exactly what was going on; he was trying to avoid Katie Boxer.
The guests who were staying at the plantation made their way out to see what all the activity was about, their curiosity getting the better of them. It was a peaceful morning; all thoughts of murder and secrets had been left behind with the excitement of starting the renovations.
