Elijah's P.O.V
I was awakened from my nap by the soft knocks on my door. I didn't have to ask who it was as Nathan's sweet scent hit my nostrils, fully awakening me.
Nathan entered the room looking a bit unstable and closed the door behind him.
"Alpha...... You found your mate." he stated more than questioned. I looked at his troubled face which he was trying to hide through his calm demeanor, as he looked straight at me with an expressionless face.
"Umm..." I replied as I flipped the documents nonchalantly. It came out too relaxed as if I didn't care whatever happens to him after I find my mate. But my stupid emotional barrier wouldn't let me turn soft. And so it was. I acted as if I didn't care.
