“Alright.” I sighed.
“Don’t think about lying or hiding anything from me. If I catch any Alpha around you with an ulterior motive will have to face me. Now, off you go,” he gulped his red wine and walked back upstairs to his room.
He’s always so protective.
“Aurora.” Quinn yelled.
“Coming through, Quinn.” I yelled back and ran out of the living room. I can’t believe I had forgotten about the school bus.
Next time, I’m using Lake’s black Lamborghini and not the school bus.
I felt something in me.
This excitement, I can’t describe what it is, but it felt so amazing. My cheeks were flushed and I know you are probably wondering why I acted normal and not shocked when he kissed a teenager like me.
Well, it is normal for me and he has been doing that since I was ten.

“What are you doing? The school bus will be gone soon,” Quinn complained as she saw me approaching her with a smile.
I rolled my eyes. “Don’t worry, the school bus will wait even if I stay inside for the next six hours.”
It was true.
The school bus will wait because we are the elite wolves from influential families. And we have to do what we want to do, but there is a punishment for our behaviour if we misbehave.
Which my uncle will not take lightly if he is called to the school premises because of me again.
“You are not serious, Aurora. Get in immediately.”
Quinn and I both hurried inside and sat down with each other in our seats.
“Why are you always having your uncle’s pheromones on you whenever we are going out?”
I didn’t know he put his pheromones in me.
“I…I don’t know, is it that bad?” I pretended to ask knowing fully well, it was because I hugged him.
Well, I’m a Beta and Betas don’t have pheromones neither can they smell them on anyone or themselves. Since Quinn is an Alpha, she could easily sniff them along with her wolf’s nose.
“Nope, it isn’t bad. But his pheromones seem to be so thick, possessive or something. It’s like he’s telling other Alphas to stay away from you and that he’s difficult to deal with.”
“Really?” I didn’t know that. I’m surprised Lake did such a thing.
“Yeah, and it’s not good.” She took out her fake pheromones perfume from her bag. “Sprinkle this on yourself to avoid any trouble and distractions at school. You can’t walk around smelling like him. Omegas and Alphas are at our school. They might go into heat or rut because of your scent and people would think you are sleeping with your uncle.”
“That’s so ridiculous. Why will my uncle sleep with me? Don’t be so gross?” I burst out laughing because I find her words to be hilarious about my uncle. “Of all the alphas in this world. Why on earth will I choose my uncle? Give me some breathing space.”
“I’m only stating facts. I’m not saying you are doing it. You are my best friend, so I trust you, but I’m only telling you what people will think, and you know how it is. How weird it sounds.”
She was right, but I can’t even think of doing such a thing with Lake. But little did I know my words will end up biting me up on my ass and my uncle wasn’t the kind and soft-hearted Alpha I think he was.
My uncle Lake, agreeing to kiss me all these years, had an ulterior motive. We got to school as we both rushed to our classroom to avoid getting punished.
“This is your fault for making me come late.”
“Not my fault.” I argued as we both raced and barged into the classroom.
“I thought you would be the first person to be here,” I whined as I panted from the running.
“I told you that you are slow, but you refused to believe me.” Quinn laughed as we both walked to our seats after greeting everyone.
“Next time, I’m gonna show you what I’m made of.”
Quinn laughed as we both stopped talking the second the professor walked in with a dark look to teach the students.
“The dark monster has arrived,” Quinn murmured under her breath with a mock.
“Yeah, I hate him. He’s so strict,” I added as we both brought out our textbook for the class.
The school was fun being with Quinn and then I noticed Aiden was not at school, which I was quite worried about.
I texted him a few times, but he wasn’t responding to me. I then phoned him, but still no response. Was something wrong at home?
“What is it?” Quinn asked, as we both left the classroom after the lesson ended.
‘Aiden is not picking up my calls or replying to my text messages.’
“Maybe he is busy with the clan.” Quinn shrugged her shoulders. “Call in the evening, then.”
“Oh, okay.” I agreed.
I hope everything is alright.
Aiden is my secret boyfriend. We started dating as soon as we entered high school. I’ve been in love with him since I was 12.
We both realised our feelings and got into a relationship since my uncle Lake was against it. We promised not to tell anyone except for Quinn, who knew about our relationship. If Lake finds out I was into dating, he will warn Aiden to stay away from me and make sure we break up.
Aiden Bardawulf is from Paxon Pack, and his family is the fourth top Alphas in rank. Which means Lake’s Pack is stronger than his family and his pack.
And Aiden does not have the right to go against Lake, which will create war and bloodshed when we truly know that we will never get accepted.
I love Aiden so much and seeing him not at school made me worried. I got home after school was closed and saw the elders of the pack gathered in the living room and five of them were seriously speaking with Lake.
I got closer to them to eavesdrop on what they were talking about to Lake. Something must have happened in the pack for them to come to our home to see him.
What happened?
“It’s high time you seek for a Luna, Alpha Lake. It’s been seventeen years already and Aurora had grown up, old enough to search for her mate. Why don’t you consider looking through the women we selected for you? They are all beautiful with good genes and good status, Alpha Lake.”
My heart sank as I heard those words from Alpha Killian.
