Sister?
Freya was surprised to learn that Bradley had a sister.
When she asked him before if he had any other family, he always said no.
So how come this sister had suddenly appeared out of nowhere?
Before she could respond, the voice continued, "I've been living abroad all this time. Bradley just brought me back a couple of days ago. I thought he had already told you."
The girl's voice was soft and sweet, with a hint of surprise.
Freya pursed her lips and asked hoarsely, "Is he with you now?"
"Yes, he was with me all night since I wasn't feeling well. His fatigue has him sleeping. I used his phone to let you know since I was scared you might feel anxious waiting for him."
Why did Freya feel so uneasy, even though the girl had come to explain?
