Friday started with a meeting in the Incident Room. DI Reid opened the session by requesting updates on the three searches executed the previous day.
‘Let’s start with the Zeitz place,’ said DI Reid.
‘Lots of nice stuff but nothing linking him to Scaletta or Cameron or anything outside his security operation,’ said DS Strong. ‘There was a wireless router connected to his modem but no sign of a laptop or a computer, and according to Forensics, there wasn’t one in his car either.’
‘Interesting,’ said DI Reid. ‘When I asked his office manager if we could get a copy of his hard drive, he told me Ron always had it with him.’
‘Maybe it’s still at the Hilton?’ said DC Beard.
‘No, I went there first. Nothing but clothes,’ said DS Strong.
‘Any sign of Zeitz’s girlfriend?’
