Twenty-Eight Located in the hills forming the eastern boundary of the metropolitan area and easily accessible to hikers, Lang National Park is crisscrossed with walking trails and dotted with camping sites. The park was a favourite weekend destination for Ralph and Hilary Whitelaw. They had walked in on Saturday morning and camped overnight in one of the park’s many campsites. It had been a quiet weekend. Not many people hiked in the rain but the Whitelaws were in training for their next overseas adventure holiday.
