CHAPTER TWO
A month had passed since Rose moved out of Chicago to start a new life. She enjoyed her new place and her two roommate were very nice.
“Rose, you want to go for a ride into town? Mark his around” Abigail called her.
Mark was Abigail's boyfriend or mate like she always called him. He was a good-looking guy and they fit perfectly.
She could remember when she was introduced to him, she spent minutes looking at his face that Hannah had to caution to stop drooling.
She was so embarrassed but she wasn't comfortable in his presence, he had an aura that demanded respect but Hannah seemed cool with him.
Sometimes her two roommates acted strange like going out in the night and coming back late, their meat wasn't always cooked well, she also heard howling in the middle of the night.
The dream she had when she first arrived was still imprinted in her mind. And on several occasions, she felt something pulling her into the woods.
“I'm good, you guys can go yourself” She replied back.
“Are you sure?” Hannah asked “it will be fun”.
“I'm good, buy lots of chocolates for me” She opened the door and saw them standing.
“Hi Rose” Mark smiled at her showing her perfect set of white teeth.
His shirt clunged to his body bringing out all his muscles, his hands was wrapped around Abigail's waist who was grinning in his arms.
“I would be fine, have fun” She told them.
She watched them go out while she locked the door.
Sighing she walked back to her room and plopped on the bed, she was happy for Abigail and Mark but sometimes she felt pain in her heart when she thought about the betrayal.
Forty minutes had passed and since she laid on the bed, feeling bored, Rose decided to explore to the forest.
She wasn't in the mood to go into town a lot of people would keep on staring at her.
The first time she went into town, she received a lot of stare which made her uncomfortable but her roommates and even Mark didn't mind, they all said they loved her hair and eyes.
Probably because they didn't want her to feel bad, taking her headset and phone which she had out on airplane mode since she reached here. No calls or internet, nothing. She had books and luckily the TV was working.
Rose also carried a bottle of water, putting on her black joggers with matching crop top, she bounded her hair with a ribbon, taking a paper and pen, she wrote a message for her roommates not to worry, she would be back before nightfall.
Checking her phone for time which was past four.
“I'll be back before night” She promised herself as she put on her headset and jogged into the woods.
The breeze was cool and the trees were tall and spacious, she could jog and listen to Ed Sheeran song which was playing from her headset which any hindrance.
After a while, Rose stopped beside a tree huffing, removing her headset and placing herself again the tree, she drank from her bottle water.
Walking forward and looking round, she heard the sound of water falling, deciding to check, after walking for a while, she saw a stream.
The stream wasn't deep because she could see the bottom and it was transparent.
Crouching, she touch the water which was warm, looking around to make sure no one was around, Rose took off her joggers and top.
“This is crazy”
“What am I doing?”
“Waw, it is warm”.
She said to herself while dipping herself into the water.
It was warm and soothing to her skin as she saw around, a beautiful smile made it's way to her lips and her hair shinned which she didn't notice.
She looked like a goddess with her hair and smile.
The smile soon vanished when she felt something watching her, she suddenly heard a growl.
Rose looked up and saw a big white wolf with grey eyes, just like the one in the painting and her dream.
The water which was warm suddenly became cold on her body was she shivered, backing away carefully from it, she swam slowly to where her clothes were.
Rose got out while her eyes was still trained on the wolf who was also monitoring her movement.
Before she could bolt away with her clothes in her hands, the wolf suddenly sprang towards her, with a shriek she feel to the ground with her eyes closed shivering with fear.
“Please don't kill me, I don't taste sweet, Holy Mary, Buddha” she called out all the gods she knew with her eyes closed.
Feeling nothing, she slowly opened her eyes and saw the wolf nuzzling itself on her.
“What?” She whispered.
The wolf raised it head and lick her face.
“Ewww” Rose laughed feeling it's wet saliva on her face.
“You scared me” She said to the wolf as she placed her hand on it's furbwhich was soft.
“Are you lost?” She asked.
“I wonder where your owner is?” She looked around and noticed it was getting late.
“Oh s**t, I'm have to go” She sprang up.
As she was about to wear her cloth, she noticed the wolf eyes focused on her body.
“Look away” she said but it growled in dissatisfaction.
“You are naughty” She shook her head and quickly wore her coth over her wet black bra and panties.
“I have to get back” Rose quickly took her phone and saw the time was almost six-thirty.
“Bye Snow, till we meet again” She kissed it nose and broke into a run.
On reaching the cabin, she saw Hannah, Abigail and Mark looking worried.
“Rose, where have you been” Hannah asked when she came in view.
“I'm sorry, I just went out for a stroll, I left a note so you won't be worried about me” Rose explained.
“But it's dangerous going alone into the woods, we were all worried” Abigail said while Mark held her hand to calm her down.
“I'm sorry for making you worried” She bowed her head feeling bad.
“It's fine, next time just keep us noted” Rose agreed when she heard Mark's voice.
“Where did you get that wolf from? Rose raised her head when she heard Hannah's question and looked at where her
hands was pointed to.
Her eyes almost popped out of its socket when she saw the white wolf standing beside her.
