THE BABY ISN’T CRYING ANY MORE
David spent the night after all as he was not about to leave Marissa alone in the house. As they had coffee the next morning, she asked him to please gather everyone together who was working on any part of the investigation. She was no longer going to leave it to others and didn’t want to be protected.
“The gloves are off, David. I want this exposed, want Julie exposed. If she is behind what’s happening, I want her to know that she is under a microscope. I am not afraid. And I am no longer going to wait for the next thing to happen. I know you’ve tried to protect me. All of you have. But no more, okay?”
“Okay. I agree with you. I will get everyone here and we will talk about what’s going on, keep you informed, and let you make the decision about what to do
