After Dr. Steelman had done all that he could do to mend Priscilla’s neck and shoulder from the gunshot wounds and to restore her blood, he went back into the private waiting room.
“Folks, Mrs. Austin, we’ve done all that we can do on our end. But I gotta tell you, she’s a mighty strong one. Ms. Austin sustained three gunshot wounds: one to her neck and two massive ones to her right shoulder. The bullets went straight through her, so we didn’t need to remove any.
“But the wounds to her right shoulder are massive. And, well, our biggest problem is her tremendous loss of blood, but we were fortunate to take care of much of that with her mom’s.” With that, he smiled at Liza.
