Carlton and Priscilla were first to arrive on the scene. Through the open door of the library, Carlton, along with Priscilla, watched as Arvana raised her face from Han’s body. It was smudged with traces of white, powdery stuff, and her hands and floral print, chiffon dress bore traces of Hans’ blood.
Then, as he walked into the library, Priscilla heard Carlton say, “Oh no! This can’t be happening.”
On Carlton’s heels, she saw Father catch a glimpse of Arvana and the man on the floor. He turned to Lady Chelsea and Priscilla, who stood beside him.
“No, Mother, PJ,” Father said, “don’t go in there. There’s a man on the floor with a knife or something in his chest. Come back with me to the family room.”
