12 The Turf War Later that same morning that Priscilla awoke in bed in the Bernhardt mansion in Bow Lake, Jamison took a telephone call from a man who asked to speak to her. “May I ask who’s calling, please?” “Yes, this is Agent James Froley. I’m with the CIA; she knows me.” “All right, Sir, hold on while I get her,” Jamison said. Then he took his time as he went into the family room to get Priscilla. “I think she went for a stroll of the grounds,” Father said. “Is something the matter?” “No, Sir, she’s wanted on the telephone.” “Oh-h?” Father said. “Sir, a CIA agent named James Froley,” Jamison said, as he knew that was what Father had really wanted to know. Then, as Jamison went back to the telephone, Father looked at Ramses, and the two men smiled like mischievous school kids.
