CHAPTER EIGHT

Third person P.O.V

A Woman sat crossed legged on a chair in a hotel suite as she dialled a number, after speaking to the person on the other line for a while she hung up and smirked. I have let you play for a long time now my love. It is now time for me to reclaim what belongs to me. She smiled while talking to herself, she stood up from the chair and started to undress herself. She had been away from that city for a long time now due to her type of job and now that she had become famous and wealthier than she was ten years ago she decided to come back to fix her relationship with Donovan Green whom had broken up with her ten years ago due to the fact that she cheated on him. Before she left the city she tried to fix their relationship but Donovan had made up his mind not to be with her anymore, she tried calling him using different numbers but he kept blocking all the lines immediately he found out the identity of the caller. She knew that she had broken his trust out of her own selfishness but she refused to accept the blame and tried to justify her actions. She finally gave up after a few years of trying to mend their relationship but all to no avail. She left with the promise that she will be back to reclaim him whenever she is ready and keeping to her word she is finally back to reclaim him and fix their relationship whether he likes it or not.

She has been keeping tab of the activities of Donovan for years even when they were not in the same city, that way she could know what he was up to and how his love life was going. Anyways the media are there to feed the public with all of Donovan's affairs and she was shocked how the man has practically turned into a man w***e. When they were dating he hardly looked at any other woman but her and then when they broke up he decided to start sleeping around. She knew that she was to blame for how Donovan had turned out, it was her own fault that they were no longer together. She broke him and made him heartless. Though she knew all these were her fault but, refused to accept it and rather told herself that she was unfairly treated by Donovan for ending things, thats just how crazy Fiona is and now she is back to reclaim her position in Donovan's life. But she knows that she will have to be careful in order to achieve her aim because the Donovan of ten years ago who could do anything just to make her happy was no longer the same person anymore.

FLASH BACK ( Ten Years ago)

Fiona was a new transfer student from another school and when her father was transfered to another city due to work she had to say good bye to all her friends and moved into a new city with her family. At first she was very sad that she had to leave her freinds and her boyfriend who was a senior in her former school. She had no choice but to relocate to another city with her family. After they arrived to the city, she was admitted into Lake View high school after a few days because her parents didn't want her to miss out much in her academics as she was already a senior and have a year until graduation.

Fiona is a very beautiful girl, she is slim and tall and at the age of seventeen she already looked like a model due to her height. She has long brunnet hair which she inherited from her mother, her blue eyes were very alluring. Infact she looked breath taking and she knew that. She sometimes uses that as an advantage to get what she wanted. The first impression people usually get when they first met her was her innocent face and gentle personality which was just a front because beneath all this perfection lies the heart of a very cunning woman who will do anything just to get what she wants, but she hid these dark personalities of hers so well and it was difficult for people to really see her for who she actually is. She was such a good actress in hidding her true nature.

She stepped inside Lake View High school wearing a short white skirt that showed off her beautiful legs, she paired it with a purple crop top that showed off her navel piercing, and wore a purple sneakers to compliment her outfit. She had already collected her schedules and her locker number and keys from the administrative office and all she needed to do right now is to locate her classroom. Her first subject was Biology and class has already began ten minutes ago according to the time written down in her schedule. She cursed the school under her breath as she was finding it difficult to find the class.

The school was very big for a high school and at first glance it looked like a university.It was a school for the kids of the elites, only those who can afford the fees could attend the school and coming from a well to do family she was among the lucky kids to be enrolled there as a student.

There were no students to ask for the classroom location thus, making it difficult for her because the school had many twist and turns and as a new student it will surely get her confused. Fortunately, she met a janitor who pointed her to the right direction. By the time she reached the right classroom twenty minutes has already elapsed. As she reached the class she took a deep breathe then knocked lightly on the door, the teacher urshered her in and she walked into the class, she greeted the teacher politely then passed a note to the teacher indicating that she was a new student and her late attendance to class should be pardoned. The teacher smiled then made her face the class so that she could introduce herself. She turned to the many eyes that stared at her, she noticed some guys drooling while looking at her, some girls admired her with envy clearly showing in their eyes, the popular ones in the classroom knew immediately that they had a new competitor because all the jocks would definately want to go after her because she really was a beauty to behold.

Fiona knows the effect she had on men and right now the guys in this class looked like they would devour her if given the opportunity, she smiled within herself and made a mental note to only date the most popular guy in the school, that way she could secure her position as the queen of the school. She can't settle for less. She only needed to make him fall for her charms, then he would do anything she wants.

After introducing herself to the class, the teacher asked her to go sit anywhere she liked, she quickly scanned the class and then went to sit close to a very handsome guy that didn'jt pay her any attention, she had noticed him at first when she was giving her introduction, he had only stared blankly at her then averted his gaze and continued with what he was doing. And thankfully he had no one sitting beside him so she took the opportunity to go sit with him. She really liked guys that do not show her any interest and play hard to get, it only makes her want to put in all her best in winning the person over and when she is done with him she tosses him aside. As she sat close to him she looked carefully at him and what she saw really pleased her. The guy had a perfect face, the face of a Greek god. he was so handsome and exactly her type, and now he was ignoring her which gave him full marks to the type of guy she needed. He must be a jock too, looking by his features and his stomach must be ripped, she had a thing for jocks and ripped guys and this guy by mere looking at him have all these qualities she needed in a man.

Once she had made him fall for her she would dump her boy friend who was schooling in her former school.There was no need continuing with the relationship because they both lived in different cities and she was already bored with the realtionship. She knew that Andre will be very pissed off when she dumps him, he was very egoistic and she gave him a tough time before accepting to be his girl friend. He was like the king of all jocks in her school and had many girls. His parents were very wealthy, given that his father was an Engineer and his mother an influential business woman, so Andre got everything he needed as a teenager, he was spoiled by his parents who were hardly around. The only reason she accepted him was for the benefit of what she would gain in the relationship. She gets turn off once a man is the first to chase after her, she prefers the guys that she goes after, and after she got them she usually have this sense of satisfaction that she had achieved something, and its always on rare occassions that she sees a guy that did not pick an interest in her just like the guy that was sitting beside her. She will get him no matter what but first things first, she will get to know him and his background, get to know how much he was worth and if his networth was very impressive then she would date him and then perhaps break up with Andre.

Getting Donovan to fall for her took longer than she thought, she found out his full name, his networth and realised how wealthy he was, he played basket ball and he was the basket ball captain, his father also had a construction company that was flourishing and she also found out that on his mother side his grand parents had left him some inheritance which was worth over ten million dollars and he can only have access to it when he was married. Geez, who gives stupid conditions like that. what if he never marries that means no one will receive the money and she wasn't going to hang around one man till he decides to marry her. She wants to milk as much men as possible, f**k that conditions given by his grand parents, she would hang unto what she can be able to receive from him for the main time before she decides on what to do. All she needed to do was to play her card well and don't get caught, she said to herself. But the guy was playing very hard to get, what will she do to get him to love her she kept thinking to herself.

Fiona had joined the cheer leaders and had already taken control of the cheer leading team, because of her height, beauty and charisma she was quick to become very popular in the school. She was also very careful to turn down the advances of a lot of jocks in the school because she knew how kids likes to spread rumour about their fellow students. Once she put herself in any relationship with any of the guys in her school the news will spread and it will make her loss her chances of dating Donovan considering he was still very single even though he had many girls flocking around him. So, she had to play the part of a reserved girl in other to make him fall for her, but it seamed like the guy didn't find her attractive or he was also pretending not to notice her despite the both of them having about four classes together. She also pretended not to give a s**t about him but secretly watched him. She was already getting tired of playing this game of watching him and also pretending by not talking to him in order to make it look like she was not interested in him because she knew that a guy like Donovan will never go for any girl that was after him. The only girl that usually hung around him and his best friend was a nerdy girl called Catherine. Oneday the opportunity presented itself.

Donovan's best friend Ethan had thrown a party over the weekend and he invited all his close friends and most of the seniors in the school, which also includes the cheerleaders. He and and Fiona were not that close but they do greet each other whenever they see themselves, its kinda unavoidable for both Donovan and Ethan not to be aware of her because she was part of the cheer leaders and has also become very popular and one of the hottest girl in school.

The party fell on a saturday and alot of students were looking forward to it knowing how extravagant Ethan usually was whenever he throws a party at his place. Fiona was one of those looking forwrad to this party because she wanted to be in close contact with Donovan.

She knew that Donovan will not bring any girl with him to the party except for that nerdy girl whom she was sure will also be in that party, she hated her so much but pretended to smile each time she saw her anywhere in school. Why should Donovan pay attention to that nerd and not her, she promised herself that as soon as Donavan and her started dating she would make sure that he never pays any attention to any other person except for her.

That day of the party she wore a short sexy blue dress that showed off her figure, and wore silver heels making her look taller than her original height, she made sure to look very beautiful but her only regret was that she would not use all that looks to entrap other rich male students because her sole aim and eyes were focused on Donovan. Any guy who intended to come unto her that evening she would turn them down and act like the conservative girl that she pretended to be.

She arrived in her mother's SUV and the party was already in full swing, there were cars parked everywhere in front of the big house, some people were in the pool area drinking and catching fun, the louds speaker was emitting some Eminem raps song and alot of students were dancing to the beats. She parked her car and walked seductively inside the house were the music was even louder, she already drew attention with her entrance and some guys blew whistles and made cat calls towards her, she smirked and pretended to look around. So many people were inside the house that you will wonder if that place was actually a club and not somebodys house.

Ethan walked up to her and invited her to have some drinks with his group she agreed knowing fully well that Donovan will be in that group and she was right because he had his hands around Catherine who was giggling to whatever he was whispering to her, she was angry but pretended and joined the group. Donovan stared at her briefly and then smirked at her she smiled at him as she stared back at him drinking in his handsome looks. He looked very handsome that evening, he was wearing an all black leather outfits, the only thing white on his body was the white singlet he was putting on inside his leather jacket, the jacket was unbuttoned showing off his well built body, he had on his wrist a black leather band in form of a bracelet, a silver diamond chain, silver cross earrings with his diamond encrusted rolex watch. His hair was gelled backwards giving him that bad boy looks. He had on his feet black leather combat boots crossed over his knees as he removed his hand from Catherine's shoulder and gulped down his drinks.

Fiona was sipping from a red disposable cup, she was drinking juice because she didnt want to get tipsy before carrying out her plans. She was carefully watching Donovan who was taking drinks after drinks as if he planned on getting himself drunk that night. She was sure he was drinking alchohol , Catherine was trying to talk him out of taking too much alchohol but he ignored her and laughed, from time to time he was staring at Fiona who was having difficulty trying to turn down some guys who wanted to dance with her and that amused Donovan. Hey, if you are just going to turn down all the guys who wanna dance with you tonight why did you bother showing up for the party, Donovan's loud voice suddenly said catching Fiona suprisingly. Well I prefer to choose who I wanna dance with tonight she replied. There was loud woah...... as people in their group were paying attention to she and Donovan's conversation. So who do you wanna dance with? he asked smirking at her, she refused to answer him and only smiled at him, she noticed that he was getting drunk and that was the first time he was actually speaking to her since she enrolled into that school.

Wont you tell me? he asked drawing her attention back to him. I will tell you if you will get me a drink she said. He laughed, oh, really, she nodded and then stood up. Catherine glared at Fiona wondering why the girl is suddenly asking Donovan to get her a drink when she can do so herself but she kept silent and watched as Donovan suddenly grapped Fiona's hand and led her away. She scoffed as the others were laughing at what Donovan just did. Am sure he will ask her out tonight Ethan said to Josh one of their classmate, he's been crushing on her like forever, he has only been bidding his time watching her closely to know if she is worth his attention, Ethan continued making Catherine more infuriated. Donovan didn't tell her anything like that and she wondered if Ethan was actually saying the truth and if he was that means she will never have the chance to profess her love to him on proms day like she intended. Just where did this witch Fiona come from?. She knew the girl must be fake and acting all holy and all but being a girl like her she knew that Fiona was not really what she portrays herself to be. The girl must be such a good actress to be able to fool everyone with her charms, even if she points this out nobody will believe her seeing as almost all the jocks in school were smitten by her including her Donovan even though he has never mentioned anything like that to her.

 Catherine wanted to cry after hearing what Ethan was saying to Josh. She knew she had no chance at all with Donovan who was the most popular guy in school and also almost every girl wanted him including herself and it's also obvious that the witch Fiona wants him too. She knew why Donovan will want such a girl, she was very pretty, her body was like a models body, she was smart, a cheer leader and to add to all of these qualities of hers is that she has turned down all the handsome guys who had tried asking out in school. That alone is enough to make Donovan fall for her because people know how flirtatious those cheerleaders were and a girl like Fiona who had all the beauty and still turn down all the jocks whom girls were ready to take off their panties for was an additional bonus to her, so who wouldn't want such a girl for a girlfriend.

Catherine felt like her world was crashing on her and decided to drown herself in alcohol for the first time that night in order to forget her sorrows. Are you alright? Sebastine one of their class mate asked her, she nodded and continued taking her drink. Is that alcohol you are taking?, I thought you didnt like to drink alcohol he continue to ask her. well, there is always a first time right? she said chuckling. Sebastine looked at her and frowned, is this about Donovan and that girl Fiona? he asked her making her to look sharply at him wondering if she was that obvious regarding her feelings towards Donovan. And why will you say that she said finishing her drink. He sighed and looked closely at her making her flinch, and that is because the eyes cannnot lie, I have seen the way you look at him, Donovan is smart and all but when it comes to women and their feelings he has a zero knowledge about that. Just the way I also know that Fiona wants him even when she acts like she is not interested I have seen the desires in her eyes, Sebastine laughed after what he said making Catherine scrunch up her face. I will not blame you for having such feelings for Donovan knowing that he is very good looking, rich and very popular any girl will want such a guy as their boyfriend he said patting Catherine on her shoulder, she said nothing and only stared at him.

So she was correct that b***h Fiona also has her eyes on Donovan just like he also has eyes on her and both of them are somehere right now doing only God knows. She will drink alot this night she said to herself, at least that way she will not be seating down here and be imagining s**t that must be happening right now between those two. She stood abruptly , where are you going to? Sebastine who was also sipping from a cup asked her. To get more drinks she replied and without waiting for his response she walked away towards the kitchen where the alcholic drinks were kept.

Meanwhile, Donovan and Fiona were at the balcony of the house were they could get some peace and quiet considering how noisy the whole house was. The balcony was the only place where there was less noise and thankfully no students were loitering there, Donovan and Fiona were laughing and holding their drinks as they stood there admiring the stars. Honestly, Donovan I didnt know you were this funny she said laughing. There are so many things that you don't know about me he said smirking. If only you knew, she said in her mind as she stared at him smiling. Donovan already made everything easier for her tonight she didnt have to spike his drinks like she planned earlier, all she has to do was put in her charms and keep the conversation flowing and she will have him falling head over heels for her.

Due to too much alcohol intake he was beginning to say what was on his mind without hesitation. He told her that he had a little crush on her but didnt want to come unto her lest she thinks he was desperate, and seeing her tonight he had to take alot of alcohol so he can speak freely what was in his mind. She laughed and told him that she had a crush on him too and he was the only guy in the school that she was attracted to. They were so engrossed into their conversation as time flew by. At one time Donovan leaned towards her and brushed his lips lightly on her, at first she acted surprised but then she responded to his kiss, placing her hands around his neck as he drew her closer to him. They kissed passionately before they drew away to catch their breathe. That was so hot Donovan, you are a very good kisser she said laughing.

Actually that was my first kiss he said smiling akwardly. Huh! she exclaimed surprised, who would have thought that the most popular guy in school is only having his first kiss now, but why is that? you practically have all the girls throwing themselves at you she said. Donovan laughed, that's the problem I do not like girls throwing themselves at me, I prefer to choose whom I want to be with. Hmmm.... I see but why did you choose to share your first kiss with me she asked feighing ignorance. That is because I like you and I promised myself to only share my first kiss with the girl I liked.

wow really, you really do like me she asked looking surprised. Sure, I have liked you for a while now he said holding her waist and drawing her closer to him. She placed her hands lightly on his chest smiling. I also like you D. she replied then she frowned. What's with the frown? he asked touching her face. I know you are saying whats on your mind under the influence of alcohol, how about you change your mind in the morning and ignore me the way you normally do. He gave her wide smile, how can I ignore you like before when I already feel all these in my heart towards you, the alcohol was only to make me feel less hesitant to tell you how I feel for you. I really do like you Fiona and I want you to be my girl friend he said.

Fiona had her eyes wide open after hearing what Donovan just said to her. She couldnt believe that on the very first day he spoke to her he was also asking her out, it all sounded too good to be true. She smiled looking down then bit her lips smiling shyly , he raised her chin upwards, now tell me would you like to be my girlfriend? he asked her. She hesitated then nodded her head sure, I will like to be your girlfriend she replied. A smile broke out of his face, thank you Fiona you don't know how long I have imagined this moment, he quickly embraced her and then peck her both cheeks. I am so happy Fiona he said holding her hands and twirling her around she giggled as she happily turned to embrace him. Donovan cupped her face gently then kissed her and she quickly responded, after some few minutes of kissing someone suddenly burst in and interrupted their little section. It was Sebastine, Donovan frowned when he saw who it was that dared to interupt them, what is wrong, Sebastine? he asked placing one of his hand around Fionas waist. I have been searching for you since, someone told me that he saw you come in here thats how I was able to find you. What happened? Donovan asked wondering why Sebastine was looking for him. Its Catherine, she is very drunk and making a scene downstairs saying that she wants to see you. I had offered to take her home but she is insisting that she can only go home if you will be the one to take her home. Where is she now? Donovan asked removing his hand from Fiona's waist. She is outside with Ethan and they asked me to look for you. Donovan sighed, he wonderered what has gotten into Catherine to make her drink tonight knowing fully well that she does not take alcohol and now she has spoilt this beautiful moment between him and Fiona. He reluctantly let go of fiona, lets go babe and know whats happening to Catherine he said. Fiona was very angry inside, how come that b***h got to ruin this moment for her she felt like seeing Catherine and then b***h slapping her face. They got outside to where Ethan was holding Catherine and trying to make her drink some water. Why is she drunk like this? Donovan asked coming towards them and taking in what was happening, Catherine was swaying and if not for Ethan that was holding her she would have hit the ground. I dont know what happened to her man, Sebastine found her this way and when he offered to take her home she began shouting that she can only go home if you be the one to take her home. Donovan sighed, she never drinks alcohol what the hell happened to her , he turned to Fiona who was staring daggers at the drunken girl who dared to spoil the moment she was having with Donovan. As Donovan turned to look at her she smiled, will you be ok to drive home by yourself or would you like me to call you an uber he asked with concern. No need D, I can go home by myself, see you at school on monday she replied smiling widely at him. He smiled back as she waved goodbye to him and walked towards her car. Donovan stared brifely at her retreating figure then turned to see Ethan who had his mouth open and a smirking Sebastine. What? he asked going to take Catherine from Ethan . She had her head thrown over Ethan's arms, she was already sleeping. Nothing man its just that you two suddenly seam very close, did something happen between you two he asked wiggling his brows. Not telling Donovan said laughing lightly. I saw them kissing Sebastine said. Woah, man, that was fast Ethan said. Donovan ignored them and grabbed Catherine taking her towards his car, see you guys on monday.
