Chapter Three

Stars Pov

I woke up and took my phone that was on the charger by my bed and looked at the time and I was shocked . It had been a day and a half already . How in the heck did I sleep that long, which has never happened before. I train a lot to be a pack warrior while I try to study work at the pack hospital, so I would constantly wake up early everyday for training . Looking around the room, I realized I was still at the pack hospital. While feeling confused ,the pack doctor, who is also cooper and Lilly's mom, came into the room . " Hey sweetie, I was told by the other pack doctor that as soon as you wake up you can discharge and go home . Nobody wanted to wake you up and felt that you needed a rest ". " OK thank you Kate do you know where the alpha's are right now ?' " Oh yes, I believe alpha Jamison is in his office with the young alpha ''. " Alrighty thanks Kate I'm going to get dressed now " " I will step out then hun ", Dr. Kate exited the room. I went to the dresser in the room and grabbed my clothes. I can tell who packed my clothes because they got exactly what I wanted, down to the underwear. Audrey and Lilly knew me so well. A pair of black leggings with a black croptop and my purple pair of converse's and after putting all that on, I tied my hair up into a messy bun . I grabbed my phone that was sitting on the table and left the pack hospital . I walked down the path that led back to the packhouse, which wasn't no more then a ten-minute walk. I walked thru the red wood doors and went up the stairs that you can go up to on either side of the foyer . Once on the second level, I stopped to think about where I should go. I decided on heading to Alpha's office since it's already on the second floor, so I walked down the hallway to the very end of the hall to the door on the right . Taking a deep breath , I knocked on the door three times and I heard a husky voice saying, please come in love, and I thought, damn, he really knew it was me just like that . I opened the door and stepped into the office and looked to see not only Jarod in there, but also the alpha , and my dad . Well, that is just great. I was thinking this was going to be even more embarrassing with dad here and his dad. " Hey Jarod, do you have time to talk ? ''. " All my time is for you beautiful " , in a playful tone. My cheeks turned into a tomato , yup, defiantly embarrassed. " Hey dad, if it's cool with you I would like to go on a walk with my mate ". " Sure, son, go right ahead I'm done with you any way " said alpha Jamison . " Cool thanks , come on angel lets go " and he grabbed my hand and went out the door together and then he started dragging me a little towards the stairs . He stopped and let go of my hand and said " Sorry about that angel. I got so excited that you wanted to talk to me. I must have gotten carried away, but anyway, what would you like to talk about ? " Exactly Jarod. I was wondering if maybe we could grab lunch and just talk a bit more. I thought about things more and it made me want to get to know you in a different way." " Of course, angel, let me grab my keys and you can pick wherever you want to go. It's always on me. " My goodness, I don't remember him being such a sweet talker in the past and might I say he is very handsome even when he dresses so casually. " Well, in that case, can we just go to burger king. I really love their burgers " I said. So we went to his car, which was a freaking black bugatti veyron, and then I remember the alpha and his family are like insanely rich .

He let me decide if we were going inside or not and so I chose the drive-thru. To be honest, I didn't even want to get out of the car. For some reason, I felt safe and secure being here with him, especially after what that prick tried to do to me I didn't want to be alone. He pulled up to the window and I immediately blurt out ''two double bacon cheeseburgers , large fries , and a large Pepsi ". whoops I was really embarrassed, myself, but I really eat allot when its meal time I cant help itwolves eat more then humans do so in a way it makes since. " Put two more sets of double cheeseburgers with another large fries and coke " jared ordered and I was stuned because its the same thing I eat " Don't be embarassed I like a girl with a big appetite ". My cheeks felt so damn warm. I know I'm looking like a cherry tomato right now. " I'm not embarrassed. I ordered what I like ''I replied . He said," then why does your face look like the color of an apple? '' OK, he got me there but I couldn't help it. He makes me feel so nervous, but for some reason it feels like a good kind of nervousness , so the only thing I could do was ignore him and start munching on my burger since he, already half way thru his first burger himself.

Jarod's Pov

Freaking loves it when she blushes. It's like the cutest thing in the world, even when she was younger, because she always blushed even when she got mad . I will leave her alone so she can eat so she doesn't get mad at me again and, with that thought, I started munching on my french fries. While eating, I got a mindlink from my dad telling him to come back. There was something needed to be discussed, so I told him I would drop off star first, then meet him in the office. " Hey, star, my dad needs me. Is it cool to head back now ? Sure, no problem. I want to see your sister any way I haven't seen her today " she said . So I started up my car and drove right back to the packlands .

I opened the door to the alpha's office and I realized the betas were already there along with my father. " Is there something wrong dad ? The border patrol have spotted a few rouges lurking around a mile from the border, but haven't tried anything yet, but that doesn't mean they won't try anything, so I think its best that we double up on security. I don't want a repeat of before " dad explained . " Why would they want to come here any way they haven't attacked in big groups in a long time " I replied. " I just want to be prepared for anything and keep are pack safe I mean we are one of the biggest packs in california so it's natural they would want to try and take what's are " he insisted. In the back of my mind I felt like my dad was keeping something from me, but I won't worry about it for right now . " Also, I want you to train the warriors new techniques that you picked up on your travels ". OK, now after that statement I know he is hiding something from me and I will find out sooner or later. " OK, I'm done with you two boys for now, so you can go ". Me and Tommy walked out of the office together. " I feel like something is up with them " exclaimed Tommy ." So I'm not the only one that thinks that good now I know I'm not going crazy. Nope, but I do like the idea of learning new techniques. I guess my dad is right that I had planned it any way when I take over as alpha I will just be doing it earlier than planned ". We went outside of the pack house doors and took the trail towards the training arena. On the trail, Tommy spoke up and said " How does it feel being mated to my sister ? I'm really happy about it. I hope it doesn't weird you out or anything . It's all good as long as you treat her right. It just feels weird my sister being the future Luna. I guess I see why you think that but i appreciate you taking this well. I believe my sister will be a good luna she is strong and brillant but don't tell her I said that it will go to her head . I won't let's get some training done ".

Star's Pov

I'm shocked, like literally all we did was eat fast food and we barely talked I was thinking he was going to mess with me some more but he didn't . Maybe he thought I was going to get mad at him I mean I did all the time when I was younger and to be fair he was mean to me. Today felt different tho like I felt at peace maybe he really is my mate and this is the start of me feeling the mate bond . There is still ten more days until my birthday so its close. I decided to go the alpha floor and knock on their apartment door . The alpha , beta, gamma , and delta floors each have a total of four apartments for their families to move into .The pack house has eight floors all together with the first floor having an ball room the kitchen dinning room and the gameroom . The second floor includes the library , the offices for the ranked wolves , laundry room , and spare closests. The third and fourth floor consist of any unmated wolves that have not found there mates yet with over fifty rooms with bathrooms on each floor but there is another buiilding with more unmated wolves with a total two hundred rooms also with bathrooms . Fifth floor being delta family , sixth floor gamma family , seventh floor beta family and of course the floor I made it to which is the eight floor is were the alpha's family resides . I knocked three times before audrey answered the door " took you long enough cornball . Hush up star you know it takes time to have perfection like this . Yea what ever girl I'm bored you trying to go the mall we haven't went shopping since before graduation . Ok yea sure let me grab my purse and we will go ". Two minutes later audrey came back with her keys and purse . " Ok star lets go in my car . Really you forget that I don't have a car at all or just rubbing it in my face you punk . Ok maaybe you right lets go any way "exclaimed audrey . We took the packhouse elevator all the way to the first floor and walked out towards the garage house that sits on the left side the packhouse but if you go right then you will see the second building of unmated wolves that had mentioned earlier. Aundrey pushed the button and the garage door on the end opened which was reserved for the alphas . Her car was an 2006 maybach sixty two and boy did it look wonderful to ride in so Immediatly hopped in as soon as she unlocked the car doors and she got in the driver seat after . " I already mindlinked my mom to let her know were we going star so you don't have to worry about anything so lets go ! " yelled out audrey.
