The thought echoed in my mind as I closed my laptop and rose up from my desk.
“Jen?” I called my secretary. “I’m wrapping up for the day, we’re all set. You can take the rest of the afternoon off. I’ll go check in with the Alpha and then head home”.
“Sure thing!” Jen beamed. “Have a nice weekend, ma’am”.
I smiled back. “You too”.
