My phone buzzed in my pocket, and my stomach clenched when I saw the preview of two texts. Kat’s was on top – a simple “coming home soon?”. And right below it, one from Diana. “Can’t wait to see you”. Crap. I can’t go on like this much longer. “Here it is. All done” the jewewler grinned, handing me a crisp white bag. “By the way, did Mrs. Farrow liked the necklace?” I limited myself to a quick nod – avoiding to mention that Kat and Diana had gone this close to rip each other’s heads off because of that necklace.
