5 Chapter Five; an attraction or maybe not? "Mr. Wayne has requested for the assistant Chef" One of the porters came to inform them in the kitchen. "He is up in his room," he added. "What?" Joleen asked in a terrified voice. "What for?" She added. Tdon't knOw. Lucas, the porter who was also an assistant housekeeper responded almost aggressively with a look that asked the question how am I supposed to know? "Alright, Joleen will go attend to him" "The head chef responded. Joleen was sweating as she walked through the long hallway that lead to Mr. Wayne's room. It wasn't completely strange that he requested for her because he usualy does that once in a while, mostly before food was prepared to request a change of dish or to prepare a separate meal. She knocked on the door that led to the room, she heard him instruct her to come in which she did. She stepped into the room, but he sat on the chair in the mini office corner of his room. He was concentrated on something, so he didn't look in her direction. She thought she was nervous during the interview, but standing there alone with him in his room afraid of being found out sent her feet weak, her hands fidgeting. She moved her hands over her hair, roughing it to help shield her identity, which would only work if her lies haven't been found out already. "Sir. She answered anxiously. "Are there oysters available to be made today?" He asked with his gaze still on what he was doing, She let out a little breath of relief before speaking We purchased some the day before. She responded trying to sound collected. "Alright, tel Francisca to make me some, and fast with it. "You can leave now, and it shouldn't take more than an hour Joleen didn t like how he always gave time to get his food done. He always gives an hour for every dish. For someone who has not entered his kitchen for the three years she had woked there, how would he know that different dishes would take different times to get done Just inconsiderate! She muttered under her breath before making her way to the exit. "Stop, she heard him say. She turned her head without moving her body to figure out why he had instructed her to stop, but he just still sat there busy with his work. She then faced the door before her, waiting to hear whatever he had to say. She hoped her voice didn't sell her out as she still wanted to keep her job. She might have stood there for just thirty seconds or a minute, but she had noticed a presence behind her. Like she felt a breath behind her so she immediately turned. Joleen flinched, and jumped due to his sudden presence behind her but he had caught her. Yes, the infamous Mr. Devil had crawled up behind her causing her heart to skip. He held her waist stopping her from hurting her self from running from him. Her back was now against the wall with her front pinned against his strong masculine body. Which was not such a bad position if she was being honest. Her hands had accidentally landed on his shirtless shoulders and her whole body froze fora good thirty seconds. His hands were firm on her waist, her hands on his bare skin, his hazel blue eyes fixed at hers. She could pass out. His scent up close to her nose caused a strange sensation in her tummy, she noticed his gaze narrow as it slowly moved to her lips which she didn't knOW why they immediately parted as his gaze fell on them. "You, he said with a little smirk and a narrowed gaze. "She snapped out of her keen observation of her bOSs who was probably about to fire her. "You" He said with narrowed eyes and a stern look.
