Twenty-Two Just after six on Tuesday evening, Todd Hendri pulled into the car park of the Bayside Hotel intent on getting himself a meal. As he stepped out of the BMW, a large dark form appeared in front of him and blocked his exit. ‘Mr Hendri, we need to talk.’ ‘What happened to all that protection your boss promised me?’ said Todd. ‘That’s what we need to talk about.’ ‘I’m listening,’ said Todd, ‘but it had better be good.
