Day TwoThe next morning, Joey was up in time to see Bill before he set off for work. Hugging his father close, he reminded him it was now only ten days until Christmas.
“Have a lovely time at the birthday party son,” Bill told him. “And enjoy your trip to see the trains. I promise to telephone you every day.” Giving his son a final hug, he set off for the office.
