That Night Changed Everything

Chapter 4

Sebastian hastily grabbed Stephens pullover, and Stephens back came in contact with the tall wooden dresser. Stephen grunted, holding his head his eyes showed what looked like remorse. Upon a closer inspection, I saw that it was more of a glare of revenge.

Sebastian glanced my direction holding his stare, his head nodded at me me, telling me to get out. I, without thought, hastily removed my body from his bed. Another bang came from Sebastians room. I walked down the hall sneakily and crept down the stairs.

The house remained silent other than my breathing. Yawning, I walked down another flight of stairs but stopped when I heard talking. Not just talking... But soft shouts.

"Where is she?" a deep, unfamiliar voice said. A sarcastic laugh sent shivers down my spine.

"Just, chill out dude she's not leaving wit-" A sound of a fist connecting with Flynn's jaw, cut him off mid sentence. Debating on whether or not I should leave, I crept back up the stairs quietly.

Running as if my life depended on it, My body came in contact with the bed. Panting and breathing heavy, I coughed. Does everyone fight in this house? Worse, both fights I'd witnessed were about me.

There was a faint knock on my door. My head lift up from in my knees. Waiting for the person to say his name. No reply, a knock five minutes later waved through my ears.

"It's Xavier." Sighing, I unlocked the door and twisted the door knob. Xavier had thrown on some fitted cargo shorts and a black muscle shirt, the shirt tugged at a body I knew he had.

Xavier's charcoal hair stood up as it normally did. Xavier's face features were strong his well-defined cheek bones. Xavier reminded me of Sebastian in so many ways.

"I-I didn't mean-mean to scare you off."I nodded forgiving him. The door shut behind him and he walked in the room I had currently attached myself to. Waiting for a reply, we sat in silence, both of us muted.

"Let me..take..you...out."Xavier said deep in thought."You probably..need some fresh air." Xavier ran a hand in his hair slowly. Nodding, Xavier softly smiled. Xavier's hand brushed upon mine and some unfamiliar sparks built up in my body.

Before walking out, Xavier stared at me lustfully. A blush crept amongst my cheek as Xavier shut the door and I quickly locked it and went to Kimberly's closet. I grabbed a pretty sky blue blouse, and some midnight blue skinny jeans. Changing in my room, I walked out and collided with a humans figure.

Sebastian gave me an odd look, he held a black wife beater. A cross with a snake crawling up it was located on Sebastian's chest. For an odd reason, I hadn't noticed that earlier or at all. He had a tattoo of a cross, with a snake. My eyes glued on his tattoo.

"Ahem, you going to stare at me or move out of my way?" Sebastian pulled his wife beater on and over his tattoo. My eyes looked up and Sebastian's eyes met mine.

Absentmindedly, I brought my hands up reaching to fix his wifebeater. I tugged at it and pulled it down, as I did this, Sebastian grabbed my hand holding it close to his body. My body was vibrating from his gentle touch. My stomach flipped as heat built up in me. Sebastian shut his eyes, and reopened them before brushing past me.

Maybe getting close to Sebastian could be good. Shutting the bathroom door, I fixed my hair and left with no make-up. Xavier was just walking up the stairs as I got out the bathroom. He flashed me smile, and I granted him one back in return.

"Ready? "He asked, scanning my body with his eyes, leaving no part of my body unseen. Feeling uncomfortable, I nodded, coughing so his eyes focused on mine. His eyes detached from my body seconds after I coughed.

We arrived at Bread Company. I smiled softly, I remember coming here everyday to meet with Ace. Ace was my ex, he used to work here. Ace held too many secrets so, our relationship didn't work out as planned.

The place suddenly filled in with obnoxious kids and Xavier sighed. Xavier handed me a ten dollar bill and ordered, and then went off to find a table for us to sit at.

"A bagel and some cream cheese, with a strawberry-banana smoothie." The girl punched in my order.

"9.75." I handed her the ten, she smiled and handed me my change and reciept saying my order would be ready shortly. I trailed off to where Xavier sat and slid in the booth across from him.

"What's wrong? Do you not like this place? We could-" Xavier said freaking out. I chuckled softly so only I heard myself. He smiled as he saw my smile. I looked down, why had Sebastian suddenly had the urge to become protective?

He had grabbed Xavier's clothes and forced him to the wall. Xavier pleaded he wouldnt let me out his sight. Sebastian had then whispered something that made Xavier look down.

"What did Sebastian tell you?" It slipped out of my mouth, and Xavier had obvious shock on his face.

"I don't know what you're talking about?" He said, staring me in the eyes. I searched his face for lies but, nothing. Either he was good at lying, or he honestly didn't know.

Nodding my head, we sat in silence for about five minutes. The waitress that served us brought us our food. She winked at me before walking off.

I looked down at Xavier's food, he had a cinnamon roll and a wild berry smoothie. He chuckled at me before grabbing my fork, stabbing my fork in his cinnamon roll, and handing it back. The nice gesture made me smile.

I placed it in my mouth, the mouth-watering, sugary goodness went down my dry throat. My stomach growled, and I decided to eat my own food.

Xavier and I walked along Venice Beach. I was hoping our destination was Santa Monica, but he said he wanted to be further from home. The waves rippled, sending a whoosing sound.

"How are you enjoying your day?" Xavier asked, as we walked further down the beach. I turned my head to look at the water, my hair whipped around in the chilly, evening breeze.

"It's fun." I said, he nodded and looked at the water, before stopping abruptly. I watched as his face lit up like a candle. Xavier was just too... cute?

"Let's go in the water." Xavier suggested, looking at me with a huge grin.

"No." He sighed, and pulled me into his body, grabbing my hands as he stood infront of me. The sensations I was feeling were driving me crazy but, they were nothing compared to the way Sebastian made me feel.

"It will be fun." Xavier said. He let my hands drop and I got lost in his deep, dark brown eyes. Suddenly, his hand clashed with my cheek. My eyes drifted shut as Xavier brought his other hand behind my neck. Tingles of affection and admiration ran throughout my body. My eyes fluttered open after a minute of feeling foolish.

He turned his head fast. I turned and Sebastian was leaning on the rocks. Xavier sighed and walked that way, as I trailed behind hi,

"What are you doing here?" Xavier mumbled, it was sort of a threatening voice. Sebastian chuckled sarcastically.

"What is this, twenty-one questions?" Sebastian sarcastically inquired, as they stared at eachother.

"Sebastian why are you here? She's having a nice time, I'm having a good time." Xavier said almost as if he was hurt.

"So, now I can't walk on the beach?" Sebastian said. Xavier looked down. What had Sebastian said to him that made him so afraid?

"We were just leaving."Xavier said, pushing past his brother. My arm brushed with Sebastian, he groaned softly. Xavier didn't speak the whole car ride home, It was kinda upsetting that he hadn't said a word to me since the 'almost' kiss.

We weren't going to kiss? I'm hallucinating, it wasn't going to happen. Xavier parked and his eyes was glued to the house. Xavier gripped the steering wheel tightly, causing his hands to turn a pale color.

"Are you okay?" I asked softly. Xavier glanced in my direction and Sebastian had just pulled up. Sebastian glared at his brother and walked inside the house. Xavier glared back before nodding an opening the door.

I opened the door and caught up with Xavier. Sebastian was leaned up on the wall. Sebastians arms were folded across his chest. Xavier let out a growl, and I couldn't help but fear that sound.

"You have fun?"Lucian asked me and winked at Xavier. Xavier just walked up the stairs..what had sebastian said to him? I made eye contact with Sebastian. He was dangerous, to dangerous for my liking. Maybe I shouldn't get any closer to him.

Tonight, I wanted to keep my distance from Sebastian. If I had another bad dream, I will just walk to Xaviers room. I nodded, forgetting about Lucian's question. He smiled and walked away. I walked up the stairs, and as I walked past Xavier's room I heard something loud break. Flynn reassured me that there was nothing to worry about.

Flynn and Dean walked into Xavier's room, telling me to stay put. I heard them talking, and then Flynn and Dean ran out the room.

"What's wrong?" Noah asked, looking at his brothers. They both glared at Sebastian and Sebastian glared back.

"He jumped out the window, you-know-what came out, we better go find him. There's glass everywhere." Flynn said, looking at his brothers. Lucian sighed and they all left. I was left alone with Sebastian and Julian. I walked up the stairs and thinking about Xavier.

He jumped out a window? Something came out? What the heck was Flynn talking about?

It was now dark out and, Julian had just left to go find his brothers. They had been out searching for Xavier for hours. The house was completely quiet, there was no sign of giggling, yelling nor talking.

My door crept open, I had forgot to lock it. My heart accelerated and my body grew cold. The darkness surrounded me, and I could feel the tears making their way to my eyes.

My heart pounded within my chest. My eyes grew heavy, and I suddenly wanted to throw up. I didn't know who this person was. Pulling the covers over me, afraid I'm just dreaming. Shutting my eyes and reopening them but the breathing was still near me.

There was bang of something dropping in my room. This mysterious figure mumbled a curse word under his breath. He walked deliberately to my bed. My bed suddenly dropped low as another body was getting into it.

"H-hello..."I stuttered afraid of who this stranger could be. Last time I checked Sebastian was asleep and he was the only person in the house. Well, beside me of course.

"Shhh..."
