"As for the girl in the Silvermoon pack, I am bringing her into our pack, and she will become my Queen and Luna," I asserted directly to her.

lily responded with a sinister, mocking laugh, raising her fist triumphantly.

"You must be joking, Mr. Alpha," Lily sneered.

"I'm not jesting, Lily," I stated firmly, my jaw clenched.

"Then I'll make her life a living hell. And don't forget, you have only two weeks to resolve this or choose me as your Luna," Lily taunted, crinkling her nose, then smirked as she sauntered away. I clenched my fists in frustration as she departed.

"My Alpha, please try to be patient with her. She's just a woman," Beta Robert consoled me, tapping my shoulder from behind. I relaxed my grip on my clenched fists. Lily had tarnished my reputation for far too long, and I had grown weary of her.

I retrieved my suit from the desk with annoyance and allowed Beta Robert to help me dress before we departed for the Silvermoon pack.

"It's my honor to have you in my pack, my King," Alpha Damien greeted the Lycan king and a man in a blue suit beside him, presumably his Beta, while Celine clung to Alpha Damien's arm.

"It's my pleasure to attend your engagement ceremony, Alpha Damien," the Lycan king replied graciously.

I felt a pang of guilt as I watched the Lycan king in the Silvermoon pack. I hadn't expected him to be here. He might realize I was talking about Alpha Damien of the Silvermoon pack yesterday. I was ashamed that I had lied to him, and the guilt weighed heavily on my chest.

"The Lycan king has a little gift for the beautiful Luna-to-be," Beta Robert mentioned, making Seraphina's face light up with excitement.

"Oh, it's an honor to receive a gift from the Lycan king," Seraphina exclaimed, while Alpha Damien's expression soured. He seemed uncomfortable with Seraphina's excessive joy.

"Come on, Alpha! We've prepared a special meal for you upon hearing of your arrival tonight. Some herbs can help you have a restful sleep," Seraphina announced loudly and proudly.

"That's great. I'd be delighted to have my first meal in silvermoon pack," the Lycan king replied, moving toward the dinner table where various dishes, wines, fruits, and delicacies were laid out.

I was hidden behind a curtain, eavesdropping on their conversation since the Lycan king's arrival. He was about to eat the meal I had prepared, and I hoped he would enjoy it.

"Wow! This tastes excellent," the Lycan king praised Seraphina as he took a spoonful of the dish.

"My mother used to be the pack's caterer before her passing, and I learned all her recipes," Seraphina explained, giggling and flashing a smile at the Lycan king. Alpha Damien, watching through narrowed eyes, seemed to realize the deceitful nature of the woman he was about to marry.

I had prepared the meal on the dinner table, yet Seraphina was taking all the credit. She was nothing but a shameless liar.

"I would love to meet your Luna someday and share these culinary secrets with her," Seraphina added with a smile. The Lycan king's expression darkened noticeably.

"I don't have a Luna yet," the Lycan king stated, placing his spoon down.

"I apologize, my king, if that upset you. Please continue with your meal, and may the Moon goddess provide you with a beautiful she-wolf in due time," Seraphina replied, now smiling, and the tension seemed to ease momentarily.

" We have a lot of women in the backyard Incase you need millions of them tonight" Seraphina assured the Lycan King.

" I will go with just one" The Lycan king responded.

seraphina called a girl in the backyard to come but the Lycan king rejected her. The Lycan insisted that he was yet to find his mate and kind.

" Are you Catherine?" A strange voice asked from behind as I was peeping on the visitors. I redressed in a jiffy. I squatted and begin to rub the tiles with the rag in my hand in pretense.

Just as the steps were closer to me, I looked back and saw Beta Robert of the Bluemoon pack. How manage did he get to know my name? The Lycan king must have gotten some information about me somehow and was probably here for me.

" Yes, I am" I responded in a surprise as Beta Robert walked up to me with a little package in his hand.

" My king is very lucky to have a damsel like you," Beta Robert said and offered me the package in his hand. I seemed not to understand what he meant by that though. I just looked at him with wide eyes. I was sure the Lycan king had told him everything that happened last night.

" What's that in your hand?" I asked him.

" My king asked me to give you this golden watch for your birthday gift," Beta Robert said and gave it to me and sneaked out of my presence.

I collected the golden watch with prestige and felt so important for the first time in my entire eighteen years as I blush extremely at the golden watch that was glittering in my hand. I wore it on my left hand and my wolf kicked for the first time after rejection. She must have loved it.

This Lycan king seemed to be nice and caring. He even offered me a golden wristwatch for my birthday instead of making me cry. Who else could be called a family, a friend, and a relative if not him? I would accept to be his second chance mate.

" Catherine, bring us a glass of strawberry" Seraphina 's voice called from the dinner table.

Oh! This scumbag had finally called me to bring the Lycan king a glass of strawberry. I must go now else she embarrasses me in the presence of the Lycan king. I removed the wristwatch and slid it into my skirt. Alpha Damien and his girlfriend must not see it else they would punish me for being loved.

I walked up to the dinner hall, my heart racing as I approached the Lycan king. I hope the Lycan king played along like we have not seen before.

" That's my mate !" The Lycan king said as I got to the front of the table. Everyone's eyes grew into awe. It was unbelievable. I never expected this just so soon.

" No! Catherine is just a maid who does not deserve a legend like the Lycan king" Alpha Damien cut in just after the Lycan King's speech.

" She is tired of the bully and I am here to take her with me to the bluemoon pack. Go and prepare, Catherine" The Lycan king said authoritatively.
