Veronica’s POV
I made a desperate decision, hoping to escape the darkness. "Bruno, I'll do anything to prove my love for you," I said, my voice trembling. "I'll give you my loyalty, my heart, my everything. Just please, don't leave me here. Don't hurt me again."
Bruno's eyes gleamed with triumph, his face inches from mine. "And what makes you think I want your loyalty, Veronica?" he whispered, his breath hot on my skin.
I swallowed hard, my mind racing. "Because I know you want me, Bruno. I know you've wanted me from the start. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be with you."
