Veronica’s POV
The next morning, Bruno sat me down over breakfast, a sly grin spreading across his face. "I've got a surprise for you, Veronica," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I've been thinking, and I want to take you on a trip to Spain."
My heart skipped a beat as I felt a rush of excitement. Spain was the one place I had always dreamed of visiting, the one destination that had been at the top of my bucket list for years.
