I spent the next few days exploring the vibrant streets of Madrid, marveling at the stunning architecture, and indulging in the city's renowned cuisine. I visited the famous Museo del Prado, strolled through the beautiful Retiro Park, and browsed the upscale boutiques on Calle Serrano. The city's energy and charm were a welcome distraction from the ache in my heart.
As I wandered, I felt a sense of freedom and independence wash over me. I was alone, but I was not lonely. I was discovering a new city, and in the process, rediscovering myself.
