Veronica’s POV
I woke up to the sound of the TV blaring in the living room. Groggily, I got out of bed and made my way to the couch, where Alejandro was already sitting, watching the news. I sat down beside him, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, and that's when I saw it. The breaking news headline that made my heart skip a beat: "Don Vince and Alana Announce Divorce".
My mind went blank as I stared at the screen in disbelief. How could this be? My mother and Don Vince had been together for as long as I could remember. They were the epitome of a happy couple, always holding hands and gazing into each other's eyes. Or so I thought.
