Just as we were finding our rhythm, life threw us a curveball. I was diagnosed with a chronic illness, and my world was turned upside down. Alejandro was scared and didn't understand why Mommy couldn't play or run with him like before.
I was heartbroken, feeling like I'd let him down. But as I looked into his worried eyes, I knew I had to be strong. I explained my condition in a way he could understand, and we began to adapt to our new normal.
