Chapter Twelve : On The Edge
Veronica’s POV
I looked at Bruno, and for the first time, I really saw him. He was no longer just a familiar face, he was a person. A person who had shown up when I needed him most. A person who had cared for her and helped her. A person who had changed everything. She didn't know what to say to him, but she felt like she owed him a lot. I could see in his eyes that he was still worried about me .
I couldn't help but feel like this was all his fault. If he hadn't been there, if he hadn't judged her , if he hadn't shown up late
heck if he had shown up earlier I wouldn’t have missed him so much . I would not have visited the club to seek a distraction then none of this would have happened. I felt a wave of anger wash over me and I wanted to scream at him.
