Chapter 36: Expelled
Oliver Donald was clearly putting her in a position where no matter which answer she chose, it would be wrong.
This awkward situation made the passage of time feel particularly pronounced. Samantha Huntington felt that it was unbearably long, so long that she almost lost her voice.
"Don't want to say?" Oliver Donald chuckled, "Then how about I tell your good friend here!"
"No...no..." Samantha Huntington quickly covered Oliver Donald's mouth and turned to Miranda Hughes, "Xiaoya, he's giving me a ride home. I'll go first. I'll call a designated driver for you, and you should head home early too."
With those words, she pulled Oliver Donald away quickly, not giving him a chance to speak out of turn.
