Edward hated silence. He never loved her, but he loved the fact that she was crazy over him and could control her at any time. But now that she’s slipping off his hands, he’s not happy about that. It hurt him so bad and that was unacceptable to him. He stood in his study with his phone in his hands, staring at the screen as it had personally betrayed him. The message she sent before blocking him replayed in his head. “IT IS OVER, DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN.” Edward scoffed softly. “Who the hell does she think she is?” He tossed the phone onto the desk and poured himself a drink. Across the city, Tina sat at the small dining table in her apartment. Her phone began to ring so she looked at the caller ID and smiled without warmth. It was Selene Cole, Edward’s mother. She let it ring twice
