‘Tartarus’ Tartarus was a divine prison, made out of divine material, and thought out and built by gods, to imprison other gods. Made in a spherical shape, the prison was in the mantle of the Earth. Having a spherical shape, that prison pulsated and moved on the jelly-like mass of the mantle, depending on the changes in temperature and the dancing movements of the lithospheric plates.
