Chapter 12: Soul Master

After carefully examining the yellowed book he had found, Lin Mo began to read its contents.

The book contained information about a mysterious technique called "Spiritual Secret Technique," which specialized in cultivating one's spiritual power. If mastered, it would allow one to become a "Soul Master," capable of commanding various battle spirits and conquering the world.

As Lin Mo read these introductory words, he was astonished. He had only heard of Soul Masters and battle spirits in legends. These battle spirits could be classified into different ranks, and some of the strongest among them were known to dominate entire regions.

Soul Masters, on the other hand, were a rare and elite group of individuals who had the ability to tame and command battle spirits. They could even control multiple battle spirits, using them in battle to enhance their own power.

Soul Masters were divided into nine tiers, each with its own stages of mastery: Lesser, Greater, and Perfect. However, not everyone had the potential to become a Soul Master. It all depended on their inherent spiritual power, and only those with strong enough spiritual power could aspire to become one.

The "Spiritual Secret Technique" in the book claimed to enhance spiritual power, but it required a certain level of innate spiritual strength as a foundation. Lin Mo wasted no time and immediately started practicing the technique.

"Empire Spirit Phone? What is this?" Lin Mo asked in surprise.

In response, an image appeared on the pendant's surface, displaying three icons: "Baidu Analysis," "Location," and an empty space labeled "Space."

The "Baidu Analysis" icon caught Lin Mo's attention. It claimed to be able to analyze any martial technique. Curious, he selected the icon and entered the name "Wave Cutter Sevenfold Slash."

The analysis process began, and shortly afterward, a notification appeared in Lin Mo's mind, indicating that the analysis was complete.

Lin Mo was astonished to find that he had gained a complete understanding of the "Wave Cutter Sevenfold s***h," a lower-ranked martial technique. The information had been absorbed directly into his mind.

Frustrated but determined, Lin Mo knew he had to focus on raising his abilities first.

He also inquired about the whereabouts of the Purple Thunder Azure Dragon, the formidable creature he had encountered earlier.

"Purple Thunder Azure Dragon, first-tier battle spirit, has been confined to the Empire Spirit Space. Access to its information requires the user to reach the status of a first-tier Soul Master," the phone informed him.

Once again, it mentioned the requirement of becoming a first-tier Soul Master.

Lin Mo understood that he needed to work tirelessly to achieve this goal. He couldn't help but think about the advantages he could gain once he became a Soul Master.

For the next few days, Lin Mo devoted his energy to improving his martial arts cultivation. His goal was to reach at least the sixth level of martial arts, as he knew that improving his martial spirit level was equally important.

After two days of intense training, Lin Mo finally achieved the third level of martial arts. However, he realized that reaching the sixth level would be much more challenging.

He decided to also focus on increasing his martial spirit level, which was currently at the first stage. It was a long and arduous journey, but Lin Mo was determined to become a Soul Master.

After finishing his training session, Lin Mo left the cave where he had discovered the ancient book and buried the remains of the skeleton with utmost respect. Then, he made his way back to the river and continued floating downstream.

After drifting along the river for a while, Lin Mo eventually reached flat terrain. To his surprise, he encountered eight figures ahead, and they belonged to the Chen family.

Lin Mo's eyes flashed with determination. He had no intention of letting the Chen family members block his path any longer.
