She has always had a mean right hook. All I can do is watch as that sexy ass runs away from me, gets in her car, and speeds off. I deserved that, and I deserved so much more, but I came back for her, and I was not leaving without her. She deserves the world, and that's why I left. She was the girl who had stumbled into my life and was never able to get out of it. I looked over at Dex. "Well, she always had a heck of a way to greet someone." I say, still rubbing my jaw. "Well, dude, you did leave her in a very hard time, and said nothing. While we all wondered what happened to you, she took it the hardest. Give her some time, I am sure she will come around to you being back," he said, staring at me. I know me leaving the way I did was going to hurt alot of people, but I had to not only be for her but for myself. The military has always been the way out of the town. If I were to stay, then I feel like I would have just done what everyone else does here and try to make it work. For her, I was never going to make it just work; I want to provide for her and be not only the man she needs but the family she deserves. I turn and look at Dex. "Where is she going?" he slaps me on the shoulder, and grinned, " Dude, just give her some time, she just needs to work through her emotions for a bit. Plus, the night is young, we still need to celebrate! Sebastion is back at the house cooking, and the beer is on ice. Let's go, Graysons, Momma is there watching the kids and is going to be so happy to see you," he exclaims with his smile reaching up to his eye.
I look over and notice that Saveens truck and trailer are still here. " Grayson! Who is going to take V truck and trailer home?" I ask as I walk up to him, kissing Clara. Clara looks happy and beautiful, I am so happy that I turned her eyes onto him. Clara smiles at me, " Hey sugar! So happy to have you back in town, you have to meet the boys, and maybe if you're in town long enough, you can meet this mean one inside of me." She gives me a small side hug to the best of her ability. "Hey, sweetheart, you look amazing. I look forward to meeting the boys and this little one in there. May I touch your belly?" She looked at me, annoyed, but replied, " You know, go ahead, you're about the only one left out there that hasn't touched my belly," she said with a small grin. When I placed my hand on her stomach, the baby gave it a few quick kicks, and all I could do was smile like a fool. She leaned away from my hand. "Oh I see you like him, imma have to name you Khover." I look at her, " like covert ops?" That earned me a smack. " No, you i***t, it means good light. This baby only kicks when good people are around, and honestly, let's just hope this baby is gentler than their brothers." I give her belly and rub, filling the thump thump thump of the baby. " Do we know the gender yet?" and she shakes her head. " No, we want to be surprised. While I'm praying for a girl, only the Lord knows this baby's gender." I smile at her and kiss her on the top of her head. Clara was like a sister to me, and seeing her as happy as she is makes me over the moon. " You look beautiful momma. I know this baby will be as beautiful as you." She smiles, and Grayson walks up behind her, mentioning it's time to go, and he looks at me." As for V truck and trailer, I am sure she will be back to load the car. She knows it's not street legal anymore. Let's just head to the party." I look over to see Dexter getting in and putting the keys somewhere, and locking the door. She will be able to get in with the code, but it kills me that she ran away. I hope she isn't crying or anything. I get why she is mad at me. I just need to talk to her and tell her my reasoning, but she never replied to my letters, and that hurt too. She was the only one I ever wrote to, even when I was deployed, because she is what kept me going. I walk over to my car and slide in. I can never get over this car. I left it with Dexter the day I left for boot camp, and him to take care of it. What I didn't expect was for him to keep up with it and put on all these amazing perks and get tuning it up. She drives and purrs beautifully, and I'm so happy to be back in my '71 Chevelle, which was the coolest thing my grandfather had passed on to me. He had gotten her in his 30s running shine for his daddy and kept her all those years. I took off into the crowd of cars to get to the party. I can't wait to see Momma Tot, and look forward to seeing Asher and Sebastián, that is, if Asher hasn't tried to murder him yet. Thankfully, Momma’s house is all but 10 minutes from the peak, and we pull in. My heart jumps into my throat when I see a candy-apple red SX300, sitting off to the side. Saveen is here already. I had to get her alone so that I could talk to her, but I already knew that was going to be like trying to bathe a cat. I have missed her over the years, while I don't want things to go back to the way things were. I want things to be us, because it was hell before trying not to kiss her to not claim her as mine. Now I don't have to worry about anything or anyone. I have to get close to her to feel her, to smell her amazing smell, and to finally get a taste of what has been mine for a long time.
