I hiss for the nth time rolling my eyes here and there. “For christ sake, why am I thinking about it again”
“Thinking about what?” I flinched at Darnell's sudden voice.
Composing myself, I reached for the book next to me pretending to read. “Nothing. I was just thinking about why the writer had to twist the story” Her brows creased in question as if not believing what I said.
“What are you starting at? Did I say anything wrong?” I snapped.
A chuckle left her lips in return. “No. Why would you lie? I'm only surprised you cave out time to read books” It was then my turn to raised my brows in question.
“Why?”
“I mean I thought we're supposed to be enjoying ourselves. It's been a while”
“I don't think I have that time. I-”
